Ppl are going realize just how much flexibility a 6’10” guy who can defend 1-5 brought to our team. Our small ball lineup is going to very small now.
I hate the drawing a charge just outside the restricted area play. The defender is almost never trying to make a play on the ball only trying to get underneath the offensive player. This type of play is responsible for so many injuries. They really need to increase the size of the restricted area or change how those charges are called. Julius Randle out with nearly the same injury for the exact same reason. Just an idiotic way of playing defense.

However, it’s a good thing that they found out now prior to the start of the second round. They can try different things and see what works and what doesn’t.

If you had told Mavs fans a couple of months ago this was going to happen, most would have shrugged it off, including myself. He has made such a turnaround recently, and shown what a value he is to this team. What a huge loss. Get better big guy.

Awful news he was hitting his stride. We might be able to handle OKC relying on bigger line ups, but Denver or Minnesota gonna be different. That being said, if we need to run small PJ at center can be serviceable.
DJJ and PJ will play 40 minutes a night now which they can. Gafford and Lively are looking comfortable in a play off setting. Lively specially has been solid on the perimeter and that’s gonna come up huge next round.
We won playoff games before with Powell playing 30 minutes, he still there and can muster up 5-10 to give guys a breather.
Shit happens and hopefully by some miracle he can come back but if not we can still keep making a run.
