We really need to figure out a way to fit this man into the rotation without messing up the floor spacing. A 7-man rotation is just not sustainable in the long run.

i think he’ll find more minutes this series. his primary matchup off the bench would likely be obi/siakam, two guys i feel he matches up well against. additionally, having extra size and a guy who can not only rebound very well, but switch from the inside to the perimeter on defense against a run and gun team like indy is going to be huge. regardless, i trust thibs to make the right decision out there

He needs some type of offensive value to get minutes. He’s not better than either 5 and you can’t justify playing him at the 4 because of spacing. If he showed consistent corner 3 point shooting he’d play.

Pacers have a lot of size. They also run. Odds are precious gets minutes every game.

It was crazy to be how precious totally locked down embiid to help win a game and then he never saw the floor again

The only way Precious is playing without messing up floor spacing is either him shooting 35%+ from 3 or replacing Mitch/Hartenstein. I can see him being a better fit at chasing around Obi but there’s no way around him being a below average 3-point shooter.
Edit: I’ll add that Precious would be doing himself a huge favor if he learns how to shoot corner 3s and practice spin moves. Guy right now is the anti-Obi… a menance on D and works hard on rebounding but if only he could become a better finisher off the dribble or shoot 40% from the corner he’d be worth a lot more money.

I don’t think it’ll be a 7 man rotation this series. Precious didn’t matchup well on paper against the Sixers offense. The pacers second unit is a bit smaller

he can give you solid minutes in short spurts but i think we forget how frustrating he is at times… playing him at the 4 isn’t ideal unless i-hart is at the 5 and the other 3 guys do not include hart.
i do hope he finds his way into the series because his defense could certainly be impactful especially on the perimeter and switching etc.
