Sixers lose Game 6 thriller to the Knicks; season comes to an end | PHLY Sixers
The Philadelphia 76ers fought until the end against the New York Knicks in Game 6, only to fall at the buzzer, 118-115 — putting a lid on the Sixers’ 2023-24 season. Joel Embiid battled throughout to finish with a team-high 39 points and 13 rebounds but it wasn’t enough to get Philadelphia back to Madison Square Garden for a Game 7. Knicks All-Star Jalen Brunson finished with a game-high 41 points and hit some big shots down the stretch in the fourth quarter to help them advance to the second round.
Buddy Hield scored 20 off the bench, knocking down 6 of 9 from deep — Nic Batum added 16 with Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre chipping in 17 each.

Knicks fans do not hate Maxey, props to him for that shot in game 5. We don’t respect Embiid cause he plays dirty not caring if he hurts other players & ends their careers.
This was an incredible series and I know everyone wanted it to be seven games. Knick fans wanted none of that smoke. Two coaches dipped far into their strategy bags for this series and there were counter punches thrown all series. Much respect to the stud Maxey, and though Embiid did some really disrespectful shit, I admire him not making an excuse of his issues. Lots of players could learn from his heart. The Sixers need help outside of your duo. Harris and Lowry being in the starting unit hurts more than it's been mentioned. Next year you will be right up where you need to be and we won't see each other in a first round series like this. Hield showed up bigtime in this game and almost swung this game in your favor. Props to the team and it's fans.

Everyone saying they wish it went 7 games well you can thank the Refs for blowing game 2 and thats a fact ! Also Tyrese Maxey is a goddamn star and for some reason this man drives the ball to the basket and gets hip checked every damn time but can't get a single call! But Brunson can grab are guy's arm and pull it into him and get a fucking call its disgraceful.
All I hear is sixers were unlucky, they were hurt , bla bla bla… we are without Randle and now our best bench threat bogey in these playoffs… half the season we seen a roster overhaul with 4 starters injured or traded … we are resilient af

Please just don’t talk about how the 76ers are the better team, that the refs affected the outcome, or that if Embiid was healthy they would have won. This time the Knicks were the better team, they won. 76ers played good, and tough. They never quit.

I always loved Devon rich and Derek, but was pretty skeptical of Kyle coming into this new sixers coverage. Kyle has come a long way. He started off as a pretty monotone guy with little personality trying to find his way but man he’s done such a great job recently, just want to shout him out. I see the growth, love the whole team and am excited to see the future of phly!
