Kidd has done very well in these playoffs so far, but lets not act like numbers are all that matter. If you just looked at the numbers, then you’d figure that Doc Rivers is an all-time great coach because he’s near the top of a lot of coaching statistics. Reality however is completely different.

We’ve been more successful than before he got here, at least. If nothing else, he’s cooked up a winning strategy against most of the teams we’ve played in the playoffs so far. Not being able to rebound against the Warriors was a disaster of personnel and now he’s got a one-legged Luka so it would be hard to lay all the blame for a series loss these playoffs at his feet.

Lakers are apparently linked to Kidd. My gut tells me Kidd has done enough post season wise here to get a new contract (despite our reservations about him).
