LA fans are not stupid!! This franchise is broken and dysfunctional. Jeanie Buss inherited a Golden Egg from her father in 2013, and since that time has been complacent, in making easy hires of her Nepotism circle of front office personnel. Rob Pelinka is living a charmed life; Kobe's x-agent becomes the primary front-office executive to one of basketball's most prestigious franchises. Jeanie might as well have hired Scott Boras. So Jeanie's primary decision-making circle is Pelinka, Kurt and Linda Rambis, and her Buss brothers. Things started dying when you review the draft picks the Lakers made in 2016 and 2017 when they had the #2 draft picks two consecutive years; Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram…nice players, but not the franchise players who were available. This team no longer has a long-term strategy or vision. They are held hostage by a 39-year old mercenary vagabond, that is desperate RIGHT NOW for more titles. This, the Lakers make silly misguided decisions in an absolute panic. You know something is chronically wrong when you are searching for your 8th coach in 14 years. I'm glad that Bill Plaschke called the Lakers and Pelinka out in a recent LA Times column.
The best thing in this video is Steven A Smith calling it like it is. Calling Rob Pelinka out for his ongoing incompetence. Jeanie Buss is too passive or has too little knowledge to be nothing but an enabler to Pelinka.
My biggest problem with the current Lakers franchise is the continued praise and power given to Lebron James. It is indeed absurd at this point. Jeanie, it is obvious, has placed revenues and attendance over winning. Any astute basketball mind would observe that the Lebron LA experiment is not working. His 6 years as a Lakers player is not embarrassing. Carving out the partial COVID year, the Lakers have finished 10th, 7th, 11th, 7th, 7th!!! Darvin Ham and the other prior coaches get pointed at and used as the fall guy, when in fact the cancer is higher up the food chain. I and my circle of friends will continue to boycott this franchise until the real symptoms, Pelinka and LeStat, are dealt with. Dr. Buss knew how to deal with Shaq when he became untenable in 2004..Jeanie just keeps making more mistakes. Dr. Buss would be rolling over in his grave.
Finally, who's idea was it to augment this video after the Woj discussion with Dwight Howard making demented bravado talk of a 3-peat, when he is being ignored by all 30 franchises to play in this league??? Three -peat??? Had the commissioner not suspended the season for 4 months in COVID 2020 and allowed AD to return from an otherwise season-ending injury, the Lakers wouldn't have even qualified for a plastic COVID ring.
Anyway, Jeanie and Pelinka can pretend nothing is fundamentally wrong with the franchise, when they watch the Boston Celtics vying for ring#18 in June.

The Lakers organization conspired against lebron all they had to do was bring back javale and howard. It's all they had to do and blew it. And anyone can look and tell it was done purposely they are not firing Rob. They fired Vogel after winning a title and kept ham for 2 years after winning nothing.!
