The problem, is while Morey has suitcases full of cash, there really isn't much high level free level talent out there. No needle movers. A bunch of old guys that no longer can just take over games consistently, and will their teams to a win when the lights are the brightest. Morey is truly going to have to earn his money by building this team through the draft and solid free agent acquisitions. The draft, free agency, and trades are the only way to build a team. And, we don't have any trade capital, if the idea is to build around Joel and Maxey.
I think our only hope is to bring a guy like Siakam in to pair with Embiid and Maxey, and give it one more shot. But, honestly, if that doesn't work, I think it's time to say goodbye to Joel. That would have been 11 years of tryin with him, and nothin to show for it. It should be get out of the 2nd round no matter what, or he's gone. And, he can't get a pass for injury because he's injured every year.
Please Please bring Andre Drummond back. For rebounding alone!!!!!!!!
The Memphis Grizzlies are right up against the tax. I am curious to see if they can be swayed to deal Jaren Jackson. He would be the perfect fit with Maxey and Embiid. 3 1st rounders would be the starting point in conversations though I am sure.
Tobias may be a $14-15 million player but on this team he is not worth that much for what he contributes because he’s too inconsistent
After they fail again next year, they are not going to have any choice but to trade Embiid. He will be over 30 without any track record of real contending. Whether they or the city like it or not, they are going to have to trade him while they can still get anything for him. The whole free agent/cap flexibility is nonsense. Teams that think they can fix ten years of terrible drafting and decisions with one offseason are the sorts of teams they haven't won a title in over 40 years and haven't been to an ECF in almost 25. This is the exact mindset that haas lead them to such futility.

To build a champion you need some time and no one built a champion in 2 years we're even three or four years. Nick Daryl Elton and Josh Harris are all idiots… I have no faith in them building this team correctly around Embiid and Maxey especially if their talking about maxing out old ass PG and Jimmy.. Why does anyone have any confidence that Morey can get it done. All the other oung stars who are hot now and leading their teams in deep playoff runs, we could’ve had, but Morey turned down trades for them, including Tyrese Haliburton, SGA, OG,PASCAL, etc. Morey botched the Simmons trade. Traded the farm to get Harden, to only trade him away for peanuts. He’ll go after a big name, who is old, washed, past their prime, or injury prone, while all the young stars are taking the league by storm. We know exactly what Morey is gonna do. Smmfh
I really don't trust Morey I have a feeling he going give out mayor deals for old guys instead of going after younger guys! Get it throught the draft! Backup center and big forward!
And I'm not into Nurse that much neither we had a chance to get Dawn Staley witch I would of been game to get her she has really proved herself!
