I hate this anniversary. One of the franchise’s best players and he’s reduced to this. His biggest moments are the crossover, the stepover and practice as far as national media is concerned. He was so much more than that.

This whole incident has been so misconstrued for years. His best friend had just been killed. Rumors spreading Sixers were looking to trade him. And like always he had just gone balls out in the playoffs with a mediocre team behind him. He goes to his presser and reporters ask about his practice habits because the Sixers were feeding that narrative. The Sixers really wasted the AI era, just like the Embiid era so far.

Morey talks about getting a third option for this Sixers team. AI had no one. Not even a decent 3-pt threat.

He’s still and will always be my favorite Philly legend.

Didn’t he miss a practice cause his friend had just died? Every time I watch this (I’m not going to again this morning,) I just feel bad for the dude. He’s literally flabbergasted that they want to talk about him missing one shoot around for a funeral or whatever outside responsibility related to his friend’s death that he had. Trash.

No one gets more respect for not winning than AI

His best fucking friend had died but pop culture vultures love feasting. Sad.
