Like mark williams upside but I’m not “trusting” that he’s going to come back healthy and play 65+ games. That back injury is a MASSIVE red flag and WILL LINGER throughout next season. Personally I’d look to find another building block at center and move him to a backup role OR have his minutes STRICTLY limited.
Was really excited about Mark, but being out nearly an entire season combined with the secretive way the Hornets handle information about his injury leaves me with zero confidence that we can count on him as a "core piece", right now.

If healthy, he’s a starter. He’s a true Center. Alex Sarr is a true PF. They are not the same player just because they're both 7 footers.

Mark Williams slander too me has been INSANE…. He has been our best center since fucking Al Jefferson. His rookie year he was having 20 pt 20 rebound games. Let’s just b GREATFUL for what we have. He’s one of my favorite players rn. He’s a stud!
2nd Round pick depends on the 1st Round pick. If they draft a big in RD 1, then get a shooter like Payton Sandfort in RD 2. If they get a wing in RD 1, then take the best big available when you pick in RD 2.
mark williams will be a starter. i think we will miss the playoffs next year but make it in 2026. if your line up is lamelo,brandon miller and alex sarr or to be honest i like maybe tristan da silva or matas buzelis. mark williams is like your early brook lopez but way more athletic when he couldnt shoot.
Mark Williams is should be utilized similar to Rudy Gobert, defensive anchor & rebounder clean up man…we don’t need him shooting 3 he’s not embid or jokic. we still need a stretch 4 6th man that with 3&D capability Idk if Cody or Grant fill that role due to inconsistency.
Sarr and Mark can play together. I don’t see why it has to be either or.

I love Mark Williams…and this comes from a UNC fan who wanted him over Jalen Duran in that draft…however, a center with back issues gives me pause…start Nick Richards while Mark heals in limited minutes off the bench

He is a certified role player.
Being that he is handicapped when it comes to shooting 3s, at the same time, his mid-range shots are not regular nor elitist.

One of y'alls better shows.. Mark Williams is a high-quality backup until he develops a reliable outside shot.. The Hornets should give Nic Claxton the bag with Williams as the backup.. Trade Richards, Micic & Bertands.. Draft or trade for two 3 and D guys hopefully a starter & somebody to replace Cody Martin from the bench..
