Not too thrilled with it tbh. I hope it’s not on a max, butler is great but also aging.

we’re really gonna sign an injury prone star to a long max smh

    this team fucking sucks

Butler is great and has at least 5 years left you guys are nutty

edit: okay he’s 34 maybe not five years but still. A couple, at least!

I don’t really want Jimmy, but to be fair to him, I think he has been injury prone because herro sucks, bams not an offensive player , and they haven’t had a real pg the whole time.

  5. I like Jimmy but I liked him more 5 years ago.

  6. Given the choice between him and George I’ll take Jimmy but I don’t want either one

Would have to give up picks to get him, PG is the better fit and option.

Nooooo thanks. You already gave up on us once dawg. Gtfo

  9. Butler is rumored to want a two year max extension which would essentially turn his current 1+1 deal into a 3 year deal. At 34 years-old, I’d probably be ok with paying him for the next 3 years as long as there aren’t too many assets required to acquire him.

If he gives you anything close to his 2022-23 playoff performance in any of those three years, Sixers would be legitimate title contenders. If it fails after 3 years, Joel at 32 would likely have enough value left to trade and start the retool around a 26 year old Maxey.

God damn it I really don’t want a 35 year old injury risk on the team unless he’s coming at like a vet minimum – which I’m sure he’s not.

    24-25 – 49 million
    25-26 – 52 million

Jimmy alone cant be the only major acquisition. I dont mind it when paired with another signing. If they can get Butler for relatively cheap (since he wants out if not offered a 2 year extension), I would love it if they threw 4 picks for Mikal Bridges. It may be an overpay but adding those two together could create a perfect core of players. If we can do that and also resign Oubre, giving us the lineup of Maxey, Bridges, Oubre, Butler, and Embiid, I think we could be considered favorites to win the east over Boston

Team needs spacing and defense, if you want a midrange ball stopper sign DeRozan who won’t cost whatever assets they can cobble together and won’t expect to be co-alpha with Joel.

JB doesn’t give a shit about the regular season. We sign him, we’re automatically going to be a 4th seed or below.

These are betting odds and not indicative of what Morey is actually planning. Let’s relax a second.

This sounds like it would work out well

I’m not going to shit on Tobias for accepting that contract. I’d accept more money for what I’m worth too if my boss randomly started handing me raises i didn’t deserve, but I think that contract is what turned an otherwise pretty chill dude who played mediocre basketball into one the most hated dudes in our city. It probably broke his mental everytime he touched a basketball during a possession and got booed in our city. He played where better in NY when we wasn’t getting cooked by fans for just touching the basketball. That being said, get the fuck off the Sixers 😂

Why would they trade Butler? Just because one let down season?

  18. Icy_Comparison_5920

I don’t mind it if your telling me morey is picking between him, pg, and Ingram I’ll take Jimmy mainly because his extension won’t be much maybe like 100 mil and he along with embiid only have about 2-3 good years left. PG has a history of not showing up in the playoffs and Ingram is unproven

  19. Plan A needs to be LBJ or Durant.

If that fails, then start looking into PG or Butler.
