Kobe helped Rob assemble that 2020 roster. Sure, nobody would tell the public, but there’s no doubt Pelinka relied on his knowledge. A good indication of this is after Kobe’s passing, Pelinka dismantled the championship team and later brought in Russ and made many other questionable moves, such as firing Vogel and hiring Ham. I don’t think Rob is an awful GM, but he is certainly middle-of-the-road. Jeannie is also at fault for enabling this mess.
