The refs showed up. Again. We get at least 2 games like this a series.
Luka just doesn’t have the ability to move. We lost 3 or so rebounds because he couldn’t move laterally or jump high.

Im so sick and tired of what im seeing. Luka need to let kyrie help him more and stop forcing it. He can be a great passer and get people involved if he not willing to be aggressive. Kyrie is not a rookie so why is luka still running point. Team need to hold their star accountable. Basketball is a team sport and fuck the narrative of saying is Lukas team. Kyrie is that guy. Our bigs need to take over on the inside. They miss too many easy looks. They need to stop over thinking and be aggressive to score every time.
Wow I lost all respect for SGA last night. Dude is a really boring free throw merchant. Can’t wait to see Ant and the Wolves destroy them next round (sorry I see the writing on the wall, Mavs aren’t winning this series)

As someone who has had multiple knee injuries, It is my belief Luka should shut it down. He's 25 and has the potential to be a top5 player for the next 8-10 years. They've got the same team under contract (except DJJ, but he should be resigned), preserve Luka for his own good, run it back next year.

Okay… Luka shot like shit. If he made 3 more 3s he would have shot slightly over his season average and they still lose by 10 points!
Now the first half was absolutely abberent reffing, Mavs were playing pretty good playoff defence and got called for every marginal contact while OKC was playing full on physical. That created a 10 point gap in favor of OKC which honestly looked more like a half the Mavs would have won by 10.
Can't say much about the 2nd half, Mavs deflated and OKC just started hitting legitimate good shots and got incredibly hot from 3.
On to the next one
If this isn't just a slump, and it's where Luka is at now because of injury then the Mavs are done. they need Luka to be Luka to have any chance.
THJ is Kidd's ride or die. Him getting healthy was the worst break for the Mavs. Even worse the losing Maxi.

The refs are not kissing his ass anymore, gifting him trips to the free throw line. The grift is up. The con has been exposed. I see him cutting and making jab moves like normal. His health is fine. He is fat, however.

Okc didn’t even play there best basketball either. Mavs are going to get blown out by a lot more when okc’s bench warms up this series.

OKC left Dallas wounded but did not finish them. If this game was against Wolves Mavs would have lost by 50.
Two things stood out – OKC on FT line and every rebound went to OKC.
Nick, no one cares about Luka's injury status. Especially this summer when he's playing with Slovenia in the Olympics.

Luka had an MVP caliber season, he AVERAGED 33.9 ppg, 9.8 apg, and 9.2 rpg this season on 48.7 FG% and 38.2 3P%.
Luka playoff stats in 2021: 35.7 ppg, 10.3 apg, .79 rpg on 49 FG% and 40.8 3P%
Luka playoff stats in 2022: 31.7 ppg, 6.4 apg, 9.8 rpg on 45.5 FG% and 34.5 3P%
Luka playoff stats this year: 28.3 ppg, 9.4 apg, 8.4 rpg on 39.5 FG% and 22.7 3P%
It's pretty obvious how hurt he is. Look at that drop off from 2022 playoffs. Then look at his drop off from the regular season. That is CRAZY. He's a totally different player with that knee. This does not bode well for the rest of the playoffs. I think his 3 pt shot is just done, like its not coming back until next season. He's gotta find a way to be more efficient inside the arc and just not take 3s unless he's wide open. I still think we can beat OKC with hampered Luka, but that would probably be as far as this run can go.
Kyrie is the best player on the team. Nobody wants to admit it but these last couple of months he's been almost winning these games singlehandedly in the 4th. He needs the ball more and he needs to take more shots. Luka needs to take a step back, not a wild 3, and let Ky COOK!
