End of the day, it’s all coming down to how he reacts when (likely not even an IF at this point) on July 7th he asks for a max extension and the Heat say “not right now.”
Nothing else either side says matters right now outside of how they will react to that talk, which Pat has actually addressed and said they basically wont be offering it that first day if Jimmy comes asking.
The extra crinkle is how does Jimmy react if we say no and then give Bam his eligible extension. We’ve seen how Jimmy has reacted to a similar situation before with Minnesota but we like to think things are better here.

We’re gonna be in the same exact spot next yr, and some mf is gonna injure Jimmy again. Then we fall short once again. Then next off-season we better add size and turn into Twolves or Denver of the East. Hooe we draft size, and not a guard again too.
