  1. HOW IS HE GONNA BE OUR HYPE MAN ON ONE LEG FAM

Honestly feel bad, one of the main guys to help with guys coming back from rehab. Hope some guys repay the favor.

  3. tsagalbill

Wow, that’s sad, that’s the worst injury. Recovery takes 1 year.

  4. -Drink_More_Water-

It’s almost like Giannis transferred all the injury into Thanasty. In all seriousness, i hope for the best and a speedy recovery

Feel bad for the man, hoping for a speedy recovery. But I really want to know what he was doing when it happened, a few days after the season ended. Could be training. Could be doing crazy wild circus stunts with Giannis. Either way, I GOTTA KNOW.

Next season in jeopardy. Who’s gonna cheer on our boys from the bench?!

  7. introspectivejoker

This scared the hell out of me. I’m still bummed for Thanasis but with Giannis’s calf injury this was a possibility

  8. username_x

Well that fucking sucks for him. Also, very likely the end of the Thanasis on the team era. Make him a coach

  9. PowerVeg

Time for the Bucks to kick the tires on Kostas. Honestly could be a bit of an upgrade for the nepo 15th man spot. He’s pretty much Thanasis with size.

End of the Thansty Era. So sad. Please stay with the team. Be a coach/cheerleader/make your own position.

Are we sure this wasn’t some weird sacrifice to save Giannis’ Achilles?

  12. LiveFrmTheGutter

    NOOOOO 💔
he not playing for greece in the olympics either then SMFH

  13. Hesh_Factor

Anyone have info on…how he tore it?

I’m clueless on Thanasis but….he hasn’t really been playing? Did he get injured in practice?

  14. Suspicious_Team_9133

1-legged Thanasis still the best 15th man fr

  15. Kevin_Jim

Man, that sucks. He is legitimately a great teammate, especially for the younglings. I wish him a full recovery. I can see him going full producer away from the team tbh, or becoming something like an assistant coach.

Do the Bucks get a roster spot exception?

  16. the_godfaubel

Thanasis made a sacrifice to the injury gods

  17. deniablebubbles

Time to become an assistant coach. Sucks to hear though

  18. GiannisIsTheBeast

Maybe they can just make him a highly paid coach now

  19. jstew262

Having this happen before the Olympics sucks. Feel bad for TA 🙁

  20. Skeleboi846

    This is terrible 🙁

It always confuses me how in a league of big personalities that Thanasis of all people is the one who catches strays from /r/nba so frequently, seems like a genuinely really chill guy who does his best to play a culture guy role for the rookies

  21. madballfanboy

My tin foil hat brain says this is a way for him to be removed from the roster without anyone getting their feelings hurt. Torn Achilles in the offseason is wild but not unheard of I suppose.

  22. rooky212

Hope for all the best Thanasty. He’ll be back and ready to rock again…hopefully on the roster too
