Damn Luka gonna be so mad tomorrow he might even get 20 points

  2. Ok-Ideal5732

That’s crazy, how is shai only at 15 votes to Jokic’s 79. I thought this would have been way closer

All good, let’s go get this championship

  3. mangeface

Whoever voted Shai 5th needs to get woken up tomorrow with a brick. That’s embarrassing.

  4. Hope Shai this can be the fire to get Shai to the next next level 😏

SGA with a 5th place vote???? MAKE IT PUBLIC

  6. lmaoooyikes

Mavs fans would’ve killed you if you even suggested Shai has as good of a case (or better) for MVP as Luka

Did someone not submit their ballot…thought these were 100 votes

Small market team gets fleeced again

Rather win the NBA title than the mvp title to me Shai deserves it but if I had my pick between the Championship or MvP my pick is the Championship

Jokic had a fantastic season and probably deserves this award. That being said I really don’t think Joker had a season that deserved 63% of all first place voting though. That’s a dominate voting differential when there wasn’t that much differential in reality. My two takeaways:

    1) voters’ picks should be public. No one in their right mind is giving Shai a 5th place vote, and Sabonis and KD shouldn’t be on there. Just media members being trolls or homers and hiding behind anonymity

    2) related to the end of my first point, the league needs to emphasize the seriousness of their voting. It’s not a fun joke, and in some awards, can affect a paycheck. If more media members make it a joke, is MVP voting no different than meme-votes for All Star fan voting (the year Klay was on it despite playing zero games, and the year Zaza Pachulia was getting votes)?

Well, hopefully he gets a different type of MVP this season.

  12. I’m surprised that the voting wasn’t particularly close to be honest…

1 5th place vote is nasty work too

These results have really made me upset. Don’t get me wrong Jokic is a great player but I really feel this pick was based on the “name” and what’s “familiar”.
It’s hard for people to look at Shai and then pick something to them that is “out of the norm”. Shai has done sooooo much this year. His greatness was evident and I really feel like it was stolen from him. I hope this gives him the fuel to keep pushing and showing people that he is an MVP.

Shai is still young…he has more opportunity to win the MVP. I rather have a championship this year and I’m sure Shai would feel the same. It is what it is

I think SGA and Luka will be the front runners next season. I’m picking SGA to win it as I see OKC winning over 60 games next season and finishing with the #1 seed again.

Luka crushed him in third and fourth place votes. js

Meanwhile: SGA’s highlight is all FT ksksksks
