So the bias against shooting threes that coaches had during the 80's is finally validated now, decades later. While the occasional Bruce Bowen has mucked up this plan from the corner from time to time, and the Splash Brothers + KD had people trying to go 5 out, with their failed copycat offenses, now we see it all come full circle. And all of those analytics guys were just looking at a mirage

It’s so funny seeing people sitting on their coach not giving okc and especially Lu dort defense credit where you got nba players praising them night in and night out. Great video i think the physicality in this playoffs will go in the favor of OKC and their amazing defense but also. Nobody on the mavs team can defend SGA or JDUB without fouling so OKC is a TUFF team to beat

Isn't this just a continuation of how OKC played defense during the season. Although it seems tailor-made for a team like DAL, its just how OKC plays…they concede threes at a higher rate than most teams in general.
My takeaway from the video is that the mavs best ball handlers, Luka and Kyrie, are also the best 3 point shooters. They might have to do some weird plays involving those two passing to each other to get 3 pointers.
Also: will we see a breakdown of TWolves defense vs Denver? Did they solve the puzzle, or is Murray just having a bad postseason?

Giving up wide open corner 3s is crazy and unconventional. It's the most valuable shot in the game. Hardaway and the role players will start hitting those, especially at home. This strategy is not sustainable
maybe I'm wrong but I don't think this is a sustainable strategy. Dallas might suck at shooting threes but just letting them launch gimmes is gonna lose the Thunder games too.
I don't have to watch the video or read any comments to answer this. The Mavs role players can't shoot 3's. Even their "best" role shooter in Hardaway can't be bothered to be consistent for 2 games straight.

Looks like normal weak side help defence that is used by almost every team while facing a dominant PG who can get to the basket.
