Mailbag: What do you think about a Giannis for Tatum trade straight up? Boston is playing good Jaylen Brown is solidifying himself as a superstar and Milwaukee needs a reset and a more balanced lineup.
Jasonās funny bro the warriors have been playing the best basketball since getting Melton and Holford healthy. And he thinks the lakers are a better squad⦠mind you they were without melton for 25 games and holford missed a ton of games. Weāll see how he changes his tune in a few weeks when the lakers are a play in team and the warriors are in a top 3 spot in the standings. We can revisit this comment then
Iām a little confused how the Clippers havenāt made any appearances on the power rankings⦠Your criteria said it was based on how teams were playing at the moment, and the clippers have been the best team in the league for over a month now. I can understand them not being on the contender rankings, but they should be on the power rankings
Jonathan Kuminga really seems to be delusional. He got paid and he hasn't done anything
Cade Cunningham should be the front runner for MVP. What he has done since last season for the Pistons is nothing short of remarkable. He is arguably the primary reason for Detroitās resurgence. He has them on top of the Eastern Conference with only 2 less losses than the loaded Thunder. Thatās an MVP.
After careful consideration i'm like 99% sure the whole Kuminga situation has been a Lacob and Kerr fight. Lacob is Kuminga's biggest backer and the only reason he didn't get traded 3 years ago and they went for that two timeline thing…Kerr is fully aware of how good Curry is and still can be and is of course, Curry's biggest backer. Kerr is also fully aware of Kuminga's shortcomings and has been pushing back hard on Lacob! Kuminga is unfortunate to be the guy caught in the crossfire of an Ownership, Coach fight
I'm actually really glad you are able to see it for what it is because the majority of people that speak on this situation are pinning blame on Kerr. As you said it's not like the entire basketball world wasn't aware of the convictions Kerr has and the amount of success those convictions have given him…..if anyone knows how to win in basketball….it's Kerr with 9 rings to his name….a fact that people seem to gloss over as if he wasn't apart of success his entire career in two different lines of work…….honestly the disrespect towards that man is crazy
So your take is that by not playing kuminga any minutes that the coach is not the problem. Ok then it's the front office. Move him if he's not what you want
The Kuminga situation is very interesting. My only critique would be that the front office didn't move him in the off season, packaging him with some picks and another player to get a big man that fits their scheme. With regards to the power rankings I have a hard time placing the wolves in the top five when they have to rely on Gobert in the playoffs. I believe he is one of if not THE most overrated players in the league.
This isn't NBA Power Rankings, it's betting odds. This is a gambling video and a commercial for Hard rock betting or whatever, call it what it is
Warriors 6-1 in the last 7 and still canāt make the power rankingsš
You can do a quick Google search and look at the standings, warriors beat up a bunch of bottom feeders during this stretch and most of their losses were to the good teams.. this take is disingenuous by Jason and means nothing. The warriors have failed to develop or just picked wrong year after year and this continual "gotta go all in" is diminished return after diminished return..
Should have traded kuminga when his value was higher not that it matters cause they aren't beating anyone deep in the playoffs..
Appreciate the Beringer praise, a note though, Joan is pronounced (Yo-ahn). Good video as always
lol why are the lakers on this list š¤£
The biggest criticism Iāve heard about Kerr the last few years has been about all the 4 guard lines ups. lol
Ant really is going to be an absolute monster at this rate.
As you stated, we often see people be good shooters but not overtly athletic and vice versa. But here, Ant is both and he does both extremely well. He's only 24! Once he perfects his craft and simply becomes consistent, bro is going to be unstoppable. He's one of the most athletic/explosive guys in the league. He's one of the best shooters in the league. And he's been one of the clutchest players at the end of games this season statistically. He's defensively good but not quite great yet but if he continues to take steps as he has every year, Ant is already a problem, but his prime is going to look crazy.
Finally someone with some sense. Thank you š
Jason wassup bro , Iām one of your biggest fans I love your videos I feel like you donāt get the credit you deserve but itās come coming brother.
I have a question for anyone willing to answer. Do you think, given the Situation, it would be a good idea to consider using Kumingaās contract to get the splash brother back together?. I think, even at this stage of his career, Klay is much better in the warriors system than Kuminga.
But literally not playing him even in garbage time minutes or even when Steph, Jimmy and Draymond being out is just bad. Why and I mean literally why are you hurting his career by making it out like he has bad character. Not only does Steve go on interviews discrediting Jonathan KumĆnga basically saying that he is a hazard to the team while he is just a pure on professional not doing anything. Not leaking things out, not using media as leverage. And what does Steve do to him. He is basically destroying the Career of KumĆnga. If he really wanted Jk to succeed he at least should be able to showcase what other teams will be able to get when trading for him maybe in garbage time or games when the stars are out. Jk has become the scapegoat of the incompetence of the front office and the pettyness of the couch.
Joan Beringer didn't start playing basketball until 15….
Letās go SPURS
Warriors can trade for mpj, or wiggans, and it still wont get them over the hump⦠not enough. Their best bet is giannis WANTING to go there, but thats not even a thing I see happening. They dont have enough to get giannis, and he hasnt officially asked to be out so NO. Lakers are cooked at least until Lebronās money comes off, cant defend or hit 3s as a teamā¦Minnesota is interesting but the lack of bench doesnt impress me⦠spurs are still too young and I dont see them winning a 2nd round series that goes 7 because i think theyāll shot-chuck eventually to their demise. Rockets are a laugh, and the whole KD trade looks better for the suns at this point. Denver too injured for right now, so who knows. OKC can win but their 3pt shooting is laughable as a group, and who knows what happens to Williams. Suns are tough, but tough aināt enough. And the east is trashy so that makes me laughā¦So the fact that the east is wide open, and west will have the tops devouring each other, itāll come to who is healthy, hitting 3s and defending the 3, seems to be the key.
Drew timme!!!!š yeah! Keep playing him, I love how desperate the lakers are and think Timme is gonna make noise for them. How about you overpay for a player that can shoot and defend; everyone and their mother knows what the lakers need, and dont be surprised when they fall on their face in the playoffs. They dont even own the tiebreaker against the suns!š The league better hope the nuggets stay injured because no one is messing with them, if the guys ever get the band back together and healthy.
Love the show, but you're wrong. The Warriors' front office is a failure. Other than 'elite' retreads (Butler, Heald), who have they added? Quintin Post, Podz? And Kerr has blown dozens of games over the last several years with his three-guard and four-guard line-ups. Greene is not a center. Neither Butler nor Kuminga is a power forward. In the 11-4 run, Green has left or been ejected multiple times. Kerr was ejected. The assistant coach proved that playing Post or TJD with Santos (or Green) is a far better option. Kuminga will be a Top 50 player in the league as demonstrated by his playoff performances last year. You have a blindspot for both the Lakers and the Warriors. As I do for OKC (only OKC wins consistently without manipulating its players).
Spurs at 4 having the 3rd best record in the league is criminal
You can say that Kerr is right to bench Kuminga, but his reliance on running 3-4 small guards at the same time while playing Draymond at center is objectively killing the warriors
