OFFENSE BROKEN: Orlando Magic STRUGGLE With Shooting and Energy—Can They IGNITE a Comeback?

OFFENSE BROKEN: Orlando Magic STRUGGLE With Shooting and Energy—Can They IGNITE a Comeback?

The Orlando Magic’s offense sputtered again in a frustrating 119-105 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Orlando is trying to find consistent energy to get them through games and allow them to compete.

They have not been able to rely on their defense. That has continued to slip and looks even worse with the team’s offensive struggles. And the offense remains a major problem that the team cannot rely on at all.

Saturday’s loss came down simply to the Magic’s inability to shoot. Even with Jalen Suggs returning, the Magic are searching for consistency on either end and have not put all the pieces together.

  1. Phillip, I’m in pain. I do not believe, base off the question you asked Paolo after the hornets lost, Coach Mo has the locker room. I will take your word that this team hasn’t given up on Mo, but I do not think the teams heart is there. To play for gentlemen. I do not think the teams depth or stars are the issue.

  2. Brad Steven’s-> Ime Udoka-> Joe mazulla(two coaches that elevated the team)
    Stan van gundy-> Pat Riley(Miami wins ring)
    Mosley-> ?

  3. Philip… not all "open" shots are made the same. Not all "open" shots within the rhythm of the offense. We DO NOT get consistently "good" looks, my man. Stop defending coaching. KCP, Bane, G. Harris, C. Houstan, Tyus Jones… These are good 3 point shooters who simply can't shoot in this team. It's coaching, man.

  4. I don't think Paolo ever bought in to the new fast paced offense. He's the kind of player that IS a system if it's going to revolve around him. He may not be there fully yet but he gets double and triple-teamed often, and he's a half-court guy, slower, so he struggled when everyone else was running. He even commented on running for something, not just for the sake of running as if he wasn't clear. He was also critical recently of the offense not working but having to stick to it regardless. That's more on coaching than the players if they're trying to fit square pegs into round holes. Poor effort is frustration (not an excuse but it is what it is).

  5. The issue we are coming into is the role players which are younger don’t know how to star in their role because I believe Mos gives everyone equal opportunity. His idea of free flowing offense we don’t need to be wasting 5 to 6 seconds on possessions with Penda, Tristan, Dell, Goga, being asked to create something it’s not in their skill set and it causes bad possessions which are just as bad as turnovers. We get no production from the bench that severely misses AB in it to keep things flowing a bit.

  6. FIRE MOSLEY.
    FIRE WELTMAN.
    DEVOS IF YOU CAN'T STOP BEING LOSERS, SELL THE TEAM TO A WINNER. NOTHING ELSE TO DISCUSS.
