The way folks talk themselves into Harden "no, wait, it'll work this time", is unlike anything I've ever witnessed in North American sports history…
You realize… DMitch is the worst 'prime superstar' Harden's been paired with (Durant; Russ; CP3; Kyrie; Embiid; Kawhi), yet, somehow, another batch of you think the final result is going to be… better? Like… You actually think 36 yo Harden is finally going to, um, 'ball out' when it matters? You people are actually fcking sick, man. What else do you need to see?

Ugh. This is a terrible move. He’s not good anymore. He wasn’t good as a clipper. He wasn’t good in Philly. He’s just bad.
My first red flag with DG was when he went on Draymond Green's podcast and confided that he considered requesting a trade from the Cavs in the 2024 offseason. He claimed his parents talked him out of it. It didn't get a lot of headlines at the time because he made the comments in January of last year when the Cavs were rolling, but honestly, it didn't sit well with me because the Cavs were playing so well. I get that that athletes are human, but to me, why inject any kind of negative energy into a winning situation? On top of that, the Cavs actually ended up cooling significantly right around that time finishing the second half 23-19.
I loved DG as a player and person, but the tandem with Donovan Mitchell was not working – they both get way too exposed defensively in the postseason, and when DG isn't making shots and with his recent durability concerns, he's a massive liability. I think it's a win for the Cavs however you look at it. Even if they don't win a title, they offload that massive contract.
Awful trade. Moved on from a young, All-Star caliber guard who wanted to spend his whole career with us for a fat, old, lazy, toxic locker room presents that has never been happy at a single place he's ever been and hasn't won shit. Disgusting move by Cleveland.
