I know this is right thing to do but I wish they would at least let him play the last 10-15 games with Cooper to begin chemistry with each other

Klay didn’t play for 2 years. He will be ok!
I would've wanted him to play 5-10 games to knock off rust and play with Flagg but only if he was ready to play. No rushing and there is no need to rush as the team is prioritizing the draft. Last pick till 2031. The Mavs can't afford to pass up on talent right now.
Playing Kryie sometime this season probably would not have made much of a difference. No big surprise that he is sitting out the rest of the season. He'll be 100% for opening night next season, and hopefully the Mavs have another good draft and maybe a roster move or two in the offseason.
I never thought he was gonna play this year either way.. what’s the point of let him play at all makes no sense. I’m glad he’s sitting out.
