Grizzlies don’t have a choice but to reconcile or make a bad trade
Just keep Ja. Whatcha got to lose? Value is not high. Run with him next year and make him the center of your offense. Not to make him a ball hog or anything, but moving Jaren out of the picture might allow the ball to move more actively than expected. Jaren didn't create shots for other players let's just be real. Ja does. Then if Ja is still a stick in the mud even with the team completely looking to him for offense, goodbye. There won't be another team to put him as the face of a franchise like this one.

I'm starting to hope that Ja gets one more chance. The value he can bring is so much more than the trades the Grizzlies are being offered that it's hard to give up on him from a purely basketball standpoint let alone business.
Also his most recent games have been good. Pair that with no preseason, new coach/scheme, and has only playing 6 minutes with his most impactful teammate and the Grizzlies might be selling way to low.
Even if he did quit in the Lakers game, if his teammates still love him and give max effort, they may be able to overcome it.
Yes, we need Ja Morant. Hopefully he comes back strong and they can bounce back. Love the Grizzlies, my favorite team to watch. I'm excited to see what they're going to do next!!!
Coward should start, Ja is on his way out of this tanking team this offseason. Unless the team is trying to trade Ja and a first for Jalen Suggs. All defensive player and still young. Shoots the three better than Ja too. Bring back grit&grind grizzlies. The grizzlies have to salary dump him.
Joe, you are right to question why Grizz would give up assets to trade Ja when his teammates love him. I don't think that's quite their position tho. They've only said they are open to moving him/taking offers. The fact that he's still here tells you where the market is for his services. They haven't extended his contract because he just hasn't been available and his next contract – wherever that is – is going to reflect that availability issue unless he turns into Iron Man all of a sudden.
My bold off-season prediction is the Grizz are going to trade Ja for Cam Boozer on draft night. That's the only way I would give up draft picks to move Ja.
I loved Ced’s comments and glad it was finally said. Ced’s comments was addressing Ja straight personally and the comments from the Stephen A’s, Kendrick Perkins and all the media and fans who don’t know him personally are uncalled for. Those I mentioned act like they know him better than those who literally are around him.
I don’t know, the contract/game availability business issue is over the Ja/GM/Coach getting along issue.
