Maybe the goal was to bring Ryan Carr on board to begin the search for a new head coach. The writing is on the wall. DeVries isn't managing anything well. It is a cluster.

I think it’s more than that. They had their guy an hour away. They didn’t really do a search.
He’s not going anywhere but IU. It’s in his blood. He wasn’t leaving the nba, until the IU thing worked out.
