NUMBERS DON’T LIE: Miami Heat Are BETTER Than Their Record
The Miami Heat surge in East playoff race, boasting a top-5 defense and outscoring opponents by 200 points. Are fans too harsh, or does Miami still have untapped potential as the postseason approaches?
Wes Goldberg and David Ramil examine point differential, net rating, and key stats, questioning whether local criticism fairly reflects the Heat’s progress post-Jimmy Butler.
Latest debates spotlight Bam Adebayo’s elite play, Tyler Herro stepping up amidst injuries, and new contributors like Andrew Wiggins and Kel’el Ware shaping the team’s identity. The hosts compare Miami’s chances against Philadelphia, Orlando, and surging Charlotte, projecting a realistic 45-win finish. Ok lets go and get Giannis in Summer. Not for our sake but the Bucks dont work with him now. Lets pick pick him up. We GOT youth, if anyone can get 3 BIGS to work, its SPO. Rollins has come to a complete STOP for the bucks since G came back in. They are 0-2 also, lets go save those kids and get up down to South Beach.
Wes is so delusional using all these numbers the only numbers are wins and losses and the Heat are a play in team
The Hornets just beat Boston. They kinda scaring me
Our offense could be a whole lot better with Ware; Bam, Wigs, Powell, and Herro playing together
The fact that you have to say this team is better than its record tells you everything you need to know. You can list all the other teams higher in the standings that the Heat are statistically better than, however, they will be moving on to the second and third rounds of the playoffs while Miami gets swept in the first if they’re lucky to even get there. We are not overreacting, we have to sit through all the bad losses that make them “better than their record”.
Heat are in danger of being passed by the Hornets.
we definitely have the worst most negative fanbase
Do you think Heat play as a team when Powell is in? Dont you think the bigs are more involved when Powell is on the bench?
Delusional, playin team!!!
At this point, they’re saying anything to try to make this team seem better than what they are when we all know they’re not
Every excuse in the book now we have to accept this team for who they are so they wanna make excuses
The real problem is we cant beat our biggest rivals in the league. 0-4 against Orlando and 0-3 against a depleted celtics team.
Yes heat media and fans are way too critical of the team because they want a lebron style free agency/trade. Despite those being extremely rare. And all of the one the fans wanted turned our terrible for the teams that jumped over the heat to get them. Truth is the heat has been great the last half decade. Multiple finals appearances, consistent play off presence, while managing to have a young developing roster, that heat fans want to get rid of for one year rentals. It is insane to be one of the few sane people in this community.
On this year the heat have not been healthy all year and still arent. Powell been hurt since novemeber. Jovic been lost all year to something. The east is still very open this year. Injuries are keeping the east open. Tyler has less than 20 games under his belt.
Key point is this podcast saying they havent had any quality wins, when they have been okc, the pistons, the cavs, the knicks, denver, and a few others. They have some bad loses, but have most destroyed bad teams. They tried to discount the denver win without joker, without noting that same team had a positive record in the time joker was out. It was still a quality team missing four starters.
Podcasters discovering net rating and then argue how them watching games makes them know better, lol
No. This team is trash. You can make an arguement that they finish 5th in the standings but they still get swept in the 1st round. All the players are SOFT.
This team is a Fox and Poertle away from great.
Numbers don't lie, but the numbers you choose to use gives a False Truth… The Heat are what they record say they are and that's Gospel.
This team is not good. When we play the Charlotte Hornets they will put us back into reality on how bad this team is.
