Did the Hawks Just Unlock Jonathan Kuminga?
Through three games, Jonathan Kuminga has been electric — 21 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3 assists per game, elite transition finishing, getting downhill, living at the free-throw line, and defending with real intent. He’s shooting nearly 70% from the floor (which won’t last), but the efficiency is showing what the best version of Kuminga looks like.
And here’s the bigger question: is he now a real building block for the Atlanta Hawks?
At 23 years old, with a $24M option looming, it feels like a no-brainer to pick it up and buy time. The Hawks desperately need someone who can attack the rim and pressure the paint outside of Jalen Johnson — and Kuminga’s skillset fits that need perfectly.

I'm really tired of hearing people saying "it's just 3 games" … "it was against weak teams" … blah blah. JK has been doing this for years whenever he gets playing time. He was just stuck in a bad situation with an awful coach holding unto old and washed players that was determined to make him fail. It backfired. The FU tour is on !
Did you watch JK Shutdown James Hardin this year???? Hardin gave up in the 3rd quarter !!! Kuminga wore him out!!!! Warriors disrespected Kuminga, TDS Kerr worst, never gave this kid a chance and got chastised fir asking for it. Kerr said he wanted to win, lol, so he benched his leading rebounder and third leading scorer!!! Watch JK and Hawks in Eastern Championship
Atlanta & Kuminga turned the Blazers defense into Swiss Cheese. The broadcasters in Portland refuse to show any replays of opponents getting poster dunks .. "were gonna pretend that never happened"… lol
Who couldn't see this happening smh . GSW has been stuck in a small ball era and it has hurt the team . JK needs to be out on the wing running the floor getting dunks and layups and that opens up his game . GS wants to walk up the floor every time . Hawks have bigs so he doesn't need to average 8 rebounds . Get on that wing and score the ball .
Dyson is as much a part of the core as Jalen. Fortunately, the Hawks know it…even if you boys don't.

It’s not honeymoon. If he played 40 min in each of the last three games he’d have more then 35 point per game. Kerr wanted him to play the power forward and/or the Center. Small ball.
