  1. Edit: Before I comment; It’s truly hard to care about sports, when the world is at war. I pray for peace. I pray for innocent lives lost, no matter the political affiliation in this planet earth. We are consistently killing innocents as humans and our greed is failing many. It breaks my heart. This is a tough world.

This needs to be recognized atleast by me to understand that basketball is perspective, and even the raptors losing won’t be the end of the world, but what’s happening currently, could be for hundreds and maybe thousands of people. I hope we can all reflect on that we are closer than we are opposites, and that we can all find a way forward in life of peace and prosperity.

With saying that and I truly appreciate that you’ve read the above, let’s talk basketball.

Raptors fans need to chill. We are 35-26. Yall are acting like we are 1-45. Or whatever the math is.

It’s been a wishy washy season, but that’s progress. Last year the games were unwatchable, this year, they are ten times better. I agree that the raptors need to make Scottie more of an offensive focus, but for fans to say he’s a bum is crazy. Critical thinking is lacking when you say that the engine of the team, isn’t that great. A 6’9 SF (small forward is historically a bad shooting big for you young kids who only know 3 point basketball) who can guard any position, who can break offensive plays by his defensive presence is a pure blessing. Sure, he’s not always the offensive threat BI is, but without Scottie we single handle lose atleast 10 more games.

Our main problem, according to my eyes, is our bench, and our three point uncompetitiveness.

We still struggle with the zone because we can’t shoot as a team and our bench struggles with playing basketball at times.

However, I did not expect this season. I can’t hate too much, knowing Rome didn’t grow overnight. It’s gonna take some time.

It’s clear to me that some fans came in 2020 after we won, but yall, this process takes some damn time.

  2. Bench 26-8 that was a concern. Refs let them be physical based on their rep and we were called when we were physical. Refs loved to lick NYK taints.

  3. We go as far as Scottie can take us.. 14 points ain’t going to cut it for your Superstar franchise player 😂

  4. The truth is the Raptors are a year ahead of schedule, being a top 6 seed is nothing to gloss over, I know we can still fall out of the top 6 and become a play-in team, but I think we're in a great spot. We got the CMB pick right, that was a huge hurdle, now we know what we need to improve in the offseason or at the deadline next season. The thing we need the most is playoff experience as a team. I would love to face a team like the Knicks, with their playoff experience that's gonna elevate us in future seasons against the elite teams in the East. We'll beat the Knicks eventually, they keep beating us because they have the experience over us and rebounding edge.

  5. When Scottie is off the floor our defense is in shambles bro like we can't always rely on two guys to make runs for us darkos rotations have been really questionable as of late like there isn't any adjustments we're getting dominated on the boards why not play our rebounding big ? You sub in and out Scottie or Ingram and expect them to save you 😂 it's just silly

  6. it is what it is , raps are not serious contenders this year, so why are they not playing and developing guys like tjd, grady d, etc.

  7. This team needs their Serge, someone like Bobby Portis,so that they can flex on the court not just in the locker room after W’s. Look at what beef Stew does for the Pistons even Tobias Harris act like no one can fk with him and he soft af. Off season trade Gradey, Mogbo, Walter & 2nd rounders for a Bobby Portis and vet that has that attitude that no one can just push the team around. Temple a good dude but the good vibes dances aint it. All these fairweather bandwagon fans who didn’t even expect the Raps to be in this position suddenly think Scottie needs to be more than what he actually is as a player. When the team has no pushback or toughness he has to take that on without help. Even on their best nights teams hang in because they muscle the Raps.

  8. The Raptors, during their off-day, need to work on their two-point shooting and defensive awareness, with a failure to score even 100 points a very good reason to practice the importance of execution on shots.

  9. As to BI's health, I read a comment attributed to him, that the Raptor training staff told him I was not balancing his workouts. Indicating that his body was being over taxed leading to more injuries during a long season. So you nailed that one. Nice to be a gym rat but like all practice it needs to be effective.

  10. Given all of the betting scandals, my automatic reflex is to assume that there’s something nefarious in any weird lineup creations. I know that’s not necessarily the case, but that’s how bad the NBA has fumbled this.

  11. What pisses me off with this loss is New York had a center on the floor for all 48 minutes. Towns for 28 minutes and Robinson 20. During the game when the Raptors had a big lead and Poetl was resting on the bench even the commentators were saying you need to get Poelt back on the floor as the lead evaporated. I was thinking to myself no they need Murray Boyles on the floor or Trace Jackson Davis to hold the forte while Poetl is resting. All the good teams the Raptors faced lately have had a center on the floor at all times. Darko cant see the obvious flaw in his coaching style, other teams have it figured our. With Boyles out and Poetl getting 29 minutes Trace Jackson should have been on the floor for 19 minutes to battle Robinson for rebounds. This team is a 1st round playoff exit unless Darko figures this out.

  12. Stop making very low percentage plays passes in crunch time. It might be maturity or coaching.

  13. stg is scottie barnes allergic to scoring 20 plus like he does this all the time bro get 15 pts and stops caring to score so annoying

  14. When Towns is bullying you your team is SOFT!!! Once again the Gm let this team down and if doesnt fix the 2 clear issues this team has (3pt shooting/a Real Big man) he has to be FIRED

  15. I like what we've been seeing out of big Jak – I just hope it's sustainable for the rest of the season + a post-season push.

  16. What I feel like it’s really gut punching it’s the referee keep messing up the calls … I felt like when it was game changing for this game was when poeltl had the ball on the ground n they fould him and it end up being a jump ball . It should had been a foul and we could of took the lead from there instead we go down more n the game just went down hill … but yes we definitely need to improve on our shooting

  17. It is so obvious the RAPTORS HAVE NOT LEARNED HOW TO CLOSE OUT GAMES !! DOES IT COME WITH EXPERIENCE , MAYBE ! The Raptors get deflated when there is a late game push by their opponents !! They just don't push back !! The small things are important !

  18. Why TF is TJD not playing??? Do the Raps really want to win? Not saying TJD is the answer, but wtf, can we give him decent mins and see what happens???

  19. The season has been a tremendous success. I'll settle for 5th or 6th seed. However this team is still suffering from a lack of rebounding and bench scoring. We need someone other than Sandro to score off the bench

  20. @benrogers how many games raptors win in last 22 games remaining if brandon ingram out 2-3 weeks with injury. they could try to bring him back early but is it worth having ingram playing injured in playoffs for a quick bounce?

  21. This team isn’t serious. They lost every game to the Knicks this year they not winning a damn thing good luck next year

  22. We don’t go from the worst team to contender, there will be seasons like this for every budding team.

  23. The Raptors are done with improving the team this year. The Raptors set the bar so low last year, I'm not so surprised that they surpass it. I still think the team will barely pass the first round and get sweep or best 4-1 in the semifinal this team isn't good enough and major changes will be made next year.

a stinkLsat year the Raptors were so low
