Luka can't lead any team to a championship cuz he doesn't play defense enough because he whines play proper leadership skills to lead a team to the championship.
Foh tf has Riccardi accomplished to be named GM? Guy got his start by mass sending out resumes until the Nets hired him. I’m sure there were favors/nepotism involved there. More importantly, we still don’t know where he stood in regard to the Luka trade and I think it’s telling that in no interview he’s been asked about it. He was on a long ass Mavs pod fresh off the Luka trade and nobody thought to ask him. Almost as if the question was off limits. TMcMahon also mentioned on a pod that Luka had opps in his OWN FRONT OFFICE. It was off the record so he obviously didn’t drop names, but he said in talking w/ this person about Luka possibly winning MVP (this was in 23’, when he should’ve won), this anonymous person said that he hopes Luka doesn’t win the MVP award because they already can’t tell Luka anything in regard to getting in shape and effort on D as it is, him winning would get him even more set in his lazy ways. Now, if it was Nico that said this TMac would’ve just named him cause he is the obvious person. Finley knows ball since he actually played the fuggin game, so who tf does that leave? The nepo hire. I just don’t want another superstar gift wrapped to another team and have everyone crying (like the hosts of this pod) to where they wind up giving away the guy they received in the trade cause they’re still booty hurt their young star got traded and just wanna see everything burned to the ground. No on Riccardi.

The Mavericks are closer than the Lakers. LA needs a whole new roster around Luka. The Lakers haven't added a single piece that would be part of a championship squad since acquiring Luka. They seem clueless.
Ridiculous wishful thinking
There is a narrative that the draft was rigged because Adam Silver wanted to move Luka to a bigger market, so he influenced the trade and gave Cooper Flagg to the Mavs. But if Flagg turns out to be as good as you guys anticipate, what would prevent Silver from striking again?
Flagg without a doubt. Luka is never winning, he's doomed to drag g league rosters around and be expected to win. The mavs will even more time to get real support around Flagg, the kind that stars who win championships actually have.
Gaff and PJ are Luka merchants, ship them out. PJ sucks and I’d rather have Middleton with a much better repertoire. PJs defense is also overrated

Kyrie if he gets to 90% of what he was is better now than lebron or Reaves, and lively better defender than any laker pj better defender than any laker cooper better defender than any laker, naji marshal better defender than any laker i wouod rather them extend naji than max christie they should try to run lively 25 to 30 min a game regular season to keep him healthy for postseason lakers now need to just try tou outscore like the pacers from a few seasons ago kennard luka lebron hatchimura reaves, should be able to score 150 just comes down to enough defense that the other teams inferior offense misses enough shots or you get enough steals or rebounds that you beat them anyway, main problem with that lineup is actually spurs okc when chet is on floor i think it couod be passable need to switch lebron for hayes or ayton when hartenstein is in there its kinda interesting but hatch and kennard wide open shots @over 50% and force the other team to shoot open 3s outside celtics or spurs thats generally winning ball and youncan defend the paint if you light contest the 3s and others light contest vs hatch and kennard wide open you are going to win that long term… mavericks though could be brutal defense next year, cooper year 2 lively naji pj kyrie will be lethat offense and defense cooper hasnt gotten to play with a true 1 like kyrie and defensively the switch and help defense will be brutal, with luka and that set they were one of best defenses in league cooper instead of luka they coukd go sub 100 def rating with that set conaistently. Expecially if cooper improves and lively comes back 100%… interesting opportunities…
