Hopefully when the games count, CC will be starting and running the point and Boston will be healthy. Hamby did a good job picking up the slack of not having Boston.
Scouted as a generational player, but I have yet to see a format in the W or anywhere else where any coach has allowed her to let loose. Entering into the 3rd season and it seems 24/7 she is shoehorned into a role player. Very different than how the NBA nurtures talent.
I’m confused as to why that arena is empty? CC and Reese are playing and with all these talks of the W reaching highs never before seen because of these 2 players then why is this arena EMPTY? Even without all of the stars of the W this is still a legit roster. So can we still say the W is Global at a time where the W season is in question but there’s a chance to see some of the top players of the W play live but people barely showed up for this game and the previous games?

Suggestion for the “brilliant “ USA Coaching staff, have Caitlin Clark play center and see how that plays out. This should get applause & Thanksgivings from the other teams. I’m sure they all know that Caitlin Clark is most dangerous running the team as a point guard like she DEMONSTRATED in their matchups first game. Let the DINOSAURS 🦕 run point guard and walk up the ball at FULL SPEED and let a big Spanish team take advantage of their height! That would be the best way to SLOW Clark down and prevent her from making those outrageous full court passes: slow everything down. I’m sure White would definitely agree with this coaching decision.
Both teams are super talented.

It’s amazing to see how crazy team USA, despite playing a really good Spain team. However, I thought the NBA defense was bad, WNBA defense is sad to watch. I’m just making an observation that a defensive coach on that team would be impactful, but they are fun to watch.

Big C Clark fan here HOWEVER: Too many holes in her TEAM play. Yes she can run the show, dazzle us with logo three's, and make sharp passes but she stays outside the play every time else. She's almost never inside on defense and won't flinch to a driving opponent if its not hers. Most all other players will congregate around the paint trying to look for an opening and she just camps out outside. Just too many holes for as many minutes.

Why bother hosting this in Puerto Rico if there's no local interest? The arena would be absolutely packed if it was in San Francisco.
I agree that it was a good game, but honestly I thought it lacked pace, they didn't move as fast and efficiently as they did when Catlin Clark was in charge. I'm willing to bet they would have had triple digits on that score board with Catlin leading. Just my opinion. 😌❤
