Bruh… maybe if the immediate conversation goes to that, its because there is a consensus that it was indeed NOT ethical. It was obvious to everyone who watched it. It was an impressive performance, but notice how you ignored the actual point of the criticism… he dropped 36 in free throws against the wizards & packed stats at the end & is not (objectively) as good a player as Kobe. All those things are TRUE. And yes, its true for Wilt too… that's why Kobe is the best performance. That is an obvious conclusion to come to. Stop it. We all feel good for Bam and what he did. He is a great guy and a good player. That can all be true and also make his performance less impressive.
Inside the NBA makes me wish for the old days of real sports journalism. And YES, the jealously is real especially Shack and Chuck.
He shot 43 free throws… that feels ridiculous. He got the (2nd) record good for him. Not all huge box score games are created equal. That wasn't the second greatest performance of all time. That's the criticism. I've been more impressed with 20+ 50pt performances

Nick definitely on the rage bait plan with his take on Bam 83. He’s blasted situations and players for a lot less. Clearly, he either didn’t actually watch the end of the game and how disgusting of a display it was for a professional game let alone a fourth grade Everyone gets a medal game.

A few things are true about the Bam performance.
1. He had 62 through 3 before any shenanigans. It was impressive.
2. He absolutely should have gone for the record and shouldn't feel bad about the shenanigans they did to get it.
3. The 4th quarter was a terrible watch

what says everything about the bam thing is ppl talk about kobe's 81 like it was an actual record for anyone other than the lakers (most points scored by a laker) and the raptors (most points allowed to an opposing player)

I think multiple things can be true about bams performance. 83 points is impressive no matter how you wanna look at it. The way the Miami Heat handled it was also kinda wack and the player who did it isnt as exciting.
