Big Ten teams are challenged in the season to prepare them for Postseason March madness.
The shocking part of this is how much credit these four gave Iowa and criticized Florida. All of these guys want bluebloods to win. Seth Davis briefly implied that (and what he said Friday). Iowa isn't a blueblood; competitive program, but not a blueblood.
None of these games are really "upsets". They are ALL high tier coached with 1 year and done for many because the NBA sucks. They draft them with a 1 year college attendance mandate. NBA if ya want em out of high school then draft them then and let colleges actually develop some teams. Like football 3 year mandatory so should it be for basketball.

Go HAWKS! Great game. The new coach is what Iowa needed! Proof that it is not the players but the coaching which can cause the issue. The football team needs the same switch – NEW COACH – get rid of Fry Jr!
Florida was the worst of the #1 seeds and got the easist path and still lost. Yep, they were over-rated

I was a little baffled by the referee's timeout to check the clock. During the game, it got me standing up and yelling! Somebody, please, explain to me why they needed to do that. It felt a bit like giving Florida a free timeout. I didn't have a dog in this fight, so…
The guard play at Florida was always their biggest flaw. They just couldn’t get the big men the help needed to succeed. They’ll be back next year if they recruit better guards from hs/transfer portal

Florida choked the game away in the last minute. Even having been outplayed most of the game, they still had it with 1 minute to go. Boogie Fland gets stripped driving down the lane, then the worst defensive call/execution I've seen with less than 10 seconds to go. Then they don't even get a shot up in the last possession. Maybe the Ivy League transfer thought he could get another 3 passes in with 4 seconds to go. Disappointing end, but Iowa outplayed them most of the game. Chineylu was a complete non-factor. Had his worst game this year.

TOUGHGREAT 3 POINT SHOOTING-GREAT D -BIG TEN Basketball is just as tough as BIG TEN Football. This league continues to elevate. The BIG TEN has 5 teams in the Sweet 16, just about 1/3 of the teams. The Portal and NIL are having a great impact on players and teams. GO BLUE!!I'm glad they focused on the bad defensive set by Florida with 8 seconds left. Iowa blew by 3 guys and had a 3 on 1 taking only 2 seconds off the clock (time for ball handler to get downcourt and pass to shooter). I've seen better situational coaching in a JV girls game.

Iowa is only in the tournament because they beat Nebraska
Charles and the guys said exactly what I said watching Iowa's last possession. Three defenders got lost in the backcourt creating a total defensive breakdown. And the Hawks mad them pay.
With this win , in my mind , a big ten team is winning the whole tourney . I dont think Iowa is a really good team and wont make it pass Nebraska. Nebraska, Illinois , Purdue , Michigan and Michigan state are the better teams. .Nebraska will make it to the elite 8 but won’t be able to beat Houston . Illinois won’t beat Houston . Purdue will go to the elite 8 but Arizona will be too much . For Michigan , it will be an easy path the final four . Michigan state has a really tough draw . If they beat UConn, then they will either face Duke or St. John’s but that will be a tough match . Everyone is already calling a 3 game between UConn and St. John’s . But give me Duke vs Michigan state and Michigan state pulling an upset making it to the final 4. Michigan state , Houston , Michigan and Arizona in the final 4 . Let’s get it

They used the old-school Bo Ryan approach (slow down the game, minimize mistakes, and play sound defense) and it worked to perfection. Hats off to the Hawkeyes.
Iowa pushed Iowa State to the brink in Ames earlier this season. I didn't have them getting past this game, but I also didn't know Florida was such a paper tiger.
Florida did beat a 16. So that's pretty good.
Nobody is talking about the fact that Florida still had a chance after that three and their guard an Ivy League transfer basically just dribbled out of bounds. Burned.
And the play Florida ran with 4.5 seconds. That was on the coach. I get what they were trying to do, but just put it up at least
