Maybe Iowa can get a driving guard like Illinois has this year. Very, very weak performance by the Iowa TEAM tonight. A couple of guys shined. The rest of them looked like they were just happy they got to play one more game— not to win. Very disappointing. This was national TV, guys. That all you had in your quivers? Jeesh

The reffing in this game was awful in the 2nd half, they started calling every little thing and everyone was flopping around like a fish. Illinois couldn't hit a 3 to save their grandmother and just kept Angel Reesing their own misses. Boring bludgeon ball.
I hate seeing a college team like Illinois only get one year together with a squad like that. You finally get chemistry, everyone clicking, and then boom—they’re off to the league. Wish we could see teams like that run it back at least one more season.
Wagler, Mirkovic, and Stojakovic have carried the team through the tournament. Boswell, Davis, and Humrichous haven't shown up! T. Ivisic needs to quit shooting threes and get to the paint for alley-oops….. Great D by most of the team.

For people who say we're in the Final Four just because we got an easier path… Duke almost lost to a 16-seed. And sure, they beat up TCU, but they barely beat St. Johns, as well.
We haven't scraped by in ANY round up to this point.
We beat Penn by 35, a red-hot and resilient VCU team by 21, a Houston team led by great coaching and guys who CONSISTENTLY make the Final Four by 10, and now, a team who went huge against such tough competition in their first rounds to get to us. Credit to the Hawkeyes for a valiant effort, but we pulled away towards the end and still beat them by 12.
Unlike Duke, everybody we played got cooked by double digits, so don't think it's some crazy fluke upset if we beat them or UConn, because it definitely isn't.
The way this team is playing right now, they really could go all the way.
