And the problem is for the fourth time in less than 2 months, the Toronto Raptors have shown up not ready to play basketball. This is a leadership issue, and that comes down to Scottie Barnes and Darko Rajakovic to sort out.

From euphoria on Sunday to misery today… the whole season has been a roller coaster. Lots of data collected and observations made, hopefully resulting in good off-season decisions.
Getting bullied in the paint by Duren is one thing, but allowing Precious Achiuwa 19 rebounds (28 points) is a new low for this team! Scottie is a great playmaker and I've said it before that I think he should playmake as a forward from the elbow where he can also post-up and conserve his energy for defense. The more I'm seeing Scottie waste energy bringing up the ball the less effective he is on defense. We saw it against a good team and now against one of the worst teams in the league. This guy is being asked to do too much and it's affecting his game where he really shines!
Darko lacks the gumption to be the HC for this team. He enables too many bad habits & fail to hold players like SB, BI, etc. This gm was loss from the 1Q. Raps got outworked & outclassed & Darko couldn't read the room. Sit the starters and let the fresh legs guys who are willing to do the dirty work play. Giving Demar 10fts in the 3Q was bad.

Many times, your best player on your team is not your leader or need to be mentored to that. Even Luka on LA, i do not consider to be a leader. Some players can be driven so emotional in the game that they have tunnel vision and need that teammate to help them breakout. Scottie's problem is that he tries to carry too much and pushes too much, that is why you have these spikes and falls. Poeltl, anyone who dealt with a back injury can realize how life can change day to day.
Well that happened…We came out flat with no fight at all. It wasn't long into the 1st quarter that there was an obvious hangover from the Detroit game. Detroit "snatched our soul", "stole our mojo", or whatever you want to call it. This team sucks. Pissing away 10 FTs is unforgivable. We got beat by two former Raptors, and we made Precious look like an all-NBA player. I kept wondering when someone was going to put a body him, on the rare occasion when we tried, he dominated. Nobody on our roster either read scouting report on (DeRozan: the "masterbaiter of fouls"), or took it seriously. (Someone put that bracketed phrase on a t-shirt!) He pretty much cooked our entire team with his pump fakes and sweep throughs. Then he punished us by making all 12 of his FTs. Even when we were only down 1 possession in the 4th, never did I feel confident that we were going to pull out a win from this game. In a must win game against a tanking bottom-feeder, they had 15 more possessions than us–totally unacceptable! Mama said: "The Raptors are like a box of chocolates…you never know what you're gonna get." (Someone put that on a t-shirt!) Time for a stiff drink. Good night everybody!
Crazy how I forgot we lost this game until I was scrolling on IG and stumbled upon a post showing Precious Achiuwa with headphones on captioned "We just let this man drop 28 & 19 on 63% shooting 💀". Tom foolery times
