Jokic was doing it all today. I was noticing lots of defensive mistakes from Denver that Jokic had to tend to but yet people ssay he is a liability on defense. When he turns it on, he is ON! He exerted himself so much and didn't get tired. Unbelievable game from Jokic. Used his body to push and box out Wemby. Then AG used his body to stop Wemby defensively. Wembys weakness was exposed in this game. Great game from both teams though. Love it!
The MVP is an individual award, that is, an award for an individual contribution, and such an effect can only be measured by individual statistics. So what the player as an individual gives to the team game is rewarded, not the team result. That's logic, and logic doesn't exist in the NBA!
Theory and practice show that in the NBA there can be a great team made up of average but well-matched individuals. In such a team, you certainly cannot count on an MVP of the season in the NBA.
