Seems like an indictment on Trae Young, who has been a losing player dating back to college.
Atlanta will be way better with whoever they pick in the draft as well this a top 4 team in the east next year

Crazy to see how quickly a team can turn on the jets on both ends when they recognize their opportunity. Charlotte, Atlanta, and my Spurs of course have flipped the switch this year and been some demons on defense
The Hawks had a fluff schedule during their “winning streak”. They still don’t have shooters. and they still don’t have a #1. Love Jalen Johnson’s game, but he has some work to do if he’s gonna be the superstar they need. Nice pieces but pump the brakes.

Hawks can upset Cavs or Knicks in 1st round
They didnt win twice vs Celtics. They lost to Celtics without Brown and they won one vs Celtics without Tatum playing
Trae really wasn't healthy all year, neither was Porzingis. CJ, Landale, and Kuminga have really put the Hawks team over the top in terms of depth (especially with CJs shot creation). That being said, if Trae was healthy and playing with this restructured Hawks team, they would be quite a force. They did make the right decision though and the defense has improved as a result.
Remember that same Detroit team took OKC to overtime without Cade AND Jalen and it beat the 9 win LA Lakers team
