Yup, finished your sentence. Most of not all the wins against the Spurs, the other team had to either have a player go insanely nuclear, perfect conditions for the other team, or Wemby was out. Teams can't rely on that to always happen. That team goes on to lose to teams just weaker than them multiple times after. If both teams play full rosters on the last game of the year. Spurs win make a convincing win.
Hey thanks for the shoutout from that other video! I’m a Nuggets fan, and while I’d rather play the Spurs than OKC in round 2, I think both those series would be absolutely brutal for the Nuggets. Fox, Castle and Keldon Johnson all didn’t hit a 3 (with some pretty bad decision making from Fox in the clutch), and the Spurs lost by 2 in Denver lol. So yeah, safe to say that series could go either way. Worth mentioning that the Nuggets didn’t have some key bench pieces
Did anyone see that look Wemby had right after the game? The NBA needs his energy man
If you actually watched the game. There were 5 key wide open shots that they typically make in last 2 min and ended up in overtime. Spurs had full control, all I saw is just attention to details and that is easily corrected in 7 game series.
These announcers are so fly by night. Stay off our bandwagon then. Always flip flopping smh.
So to be clear: if Fox/Castle/Keldon went 1 for 16 instead of 0 for 16, then the Spurs are contenders. But they didn’t, so they’re not contenders. It came down to three points
The fact that the Nuggets had to have 40+ from Jokic and overtime on their own court makes me think that the Spurs can take them out. But if a playoff series between those two goes 6 or 7 games, which it most certainly could, it would make it hard to have to deal with the Thunder. However it shakes out, the semis are going to be brutal for the two surviving teams. The two teams in the finals will probably be gassed. Must see TV.
It’s interesting because it’s like Rock 🪨 , Paper 📄 , Scissors ✂️ with the San Antonio Spurs, OKC, and Denver Nuggets.
Spurs OWN OKC, but OKC owns Denver, and Denver Beat San Antonio 2 games to 1 (still one more left).
It’s gonna be a great Playoffs indeed.
I predict however, as good as the Spurs are.. that if we face Denver, their Experience may be the one thing that sends us home. I’m more worried about Denver than OKC.. and we may actually have to face them in the Second round if Lakers keep losing.
If Lakers loose ONE more of the last games, then we have to face Denver in the second round. Denver is only ONE game behind LA.. but LA owns the tie breaker after beating Denver 2 games to 1 this season. So Lakers would have to lose One more game for Denver to pass them. And they play OKC next, so that’s a loss for sure.
Now that Luka and Reeves is out for the rest of the season, that is highly likely… UNLESS LeBron and the others step up.
Now Denver has Aaron Gordon back and they are so good! Gonna be hard to beat them but OKC and the Spurs both can do it. Bring on the Playoffs!
Die hard Spurs fan here since the early 1980’s. This is what I can see after living through the Lakers versus Celtics era, and then the Pistons versus Bulls era, and then the Spurs versus Lakers era…
Joker is the modern day Shad.. with some extra skills and abilities.. and Wemby is the modern day Tim Duncan.. with some extra dimensional skills and abilities. They are both at the Top of the mountain of Dominance in this League, and they both possess incredible abilities that no other player can compete with.
That game showed us just how close Jokić and Wemby are in their Offensive game. Joker has the slight edge over Wemby on Offensive ability, with his knowledge of the game and his experience under pressure in close games. Jokić also has Wemby on assists, so Joker is the better offensive player as of NOW.
Denver is slightly ahead of Spurs in the regular season race, winning 2 games to 1 thus far. However, every one of those games was decided in under five points. They are SO CLOSE..
As far as the MVP, Jokers Triple Double average and record against us is certainly what makes him the MVP in my book. But we still have one last game on April 12.. Wemby would need to completely go THANOS mode and Dominate Joker and the Nuggets, scoring close to 50 and near Triple Double if he wants to pass Joker for MVP. Right now I have Jokić as the MVP.
Wemby has the edge on Joker with Defense, as he is the clear front runner for DPOY. He had five blocks that game, two of them on Joker. Wemby had 18 rebounds also, three more than Joker. So we witnessed the better Offensive player versus the best Defensive player, yet Wemby is right on Joker’s tail in offense.
What I am seeing here between the Veteran Super Star Champion Joker, and the up and coming rising Super Star Wemby… is what happened when Jordan passed the torch to Kobe Bryant in that last game Wizards versus Lakers. Remember the game before when Jordan smoked Kobe, while Kobe was wearing Jordan’s shoes.. he told Kobe, “You can wear the shoes, but you will NEVER fill them”. That set Kobe off, and the very next game Kobe lit up Jordan for some 45 points and totally took over.. that’s when they had that playful interaction when Jordan went to the ground and Kobe helped him up. That’s when Kobe became the face of the League and started winning all those Championships!
Here’s what separates the Joker and Wemby, PLAYOFF EXPERIENCE. That game showed us who is more seasoned, and who can close out games better. They are both neck and neck as far as Offense and Defense, with Denver holding a slight edge on Offense and San Antonio holding the edge on Defense.. These teams are an excellent matchup for the Playoffs.. Yet the Nuggets have the Experience edge over the Spurs, which will be crucial in the Playoffs. This is going to be an exciting and CLOSE series. May the best team Win! Go Spurs Go!
Damn that was the best game of the season by far! What a matchup between the two Giants the Alien 👽 and the Joker 🃏! Great play by both teams but SHEESH Fox 🦊 really messed up that last play to tie the game.. Fox 🦊 went from clutch player of the year to Brick 🧱 player of the Clutch.
That last lob to Vassell wasn’t the problem.. that’s on Vassell.. it was the missed 8’ shot after that, then the ridiculous foul at the 3 point line in clutch that hurt us. He lost that game for us.
Wemby did nearly everything right..
Wemby missed his final shot in regulation which would have ended the fame right there. Spurs also should have challenged that out of bounds where Jokić and Champagnie hit the ball out..
But Jokić is a True MVP clutch player!! Nobody else can get those shots over Wemby but him.. He owned that game in the final seconds, even though Wemby was right there with him trading buckets. They Both are heavy weights the likes of Hakeem the Dream versus David Robinson, or Tim Duncan versus SHAQ! What an incredible matchup of Two Titans. It was absolute Cinema the entire game!
Not a bad loss though.. our third road game in a row. Spurs have been traveling a lot and are definitely tired.
Harper made that last 3 pointer bringing the score 136-134 last second! We will take it and the #2 seed.. playing either Portland Blazers or Phoenix Suns in round 1… then either Minnesota Timberwolves or LA Lakers in round 2. UNLESS Lakers loose two of the last games, then we have to face Denver in second round. Denver is only ONE game behind LA.. but LA owns the tie breaker after beating Denver 2 games to 1 this season. So Lakers would have to lose One more game for Denver to pass them.
If Denver doesn’t pass LA.. OKC has to play either the LA Clippers or the GS Warriors in round 1… then they have to face either Houston Rockets or likely Denver Nuggets in round 2 before seeing Spurs in the WCF..

Finally we have a great Playoff schedule for both the East and the West! Knicks and Philly is going to be a good series.. so is Boston and Charlotte round 1..
Wemby is not strong enough to guard Jokic on ball or mentally quick enough to correctly rotate to disrupt Jokic’s passing to guard him off ball and that means he’s a worthless defender against him. Also his stamina sucks.
3 games in 4 days and on the road.
So are we expected to sweep them in the playoffs? We lost one. We will win the next one. By a blowout. Everyone is so reactionary about one game.
I saw it similarly to you, what are the chances that keldon and fox both have as poor of a shooting night as they did, 4x in a series?
