He's definitely not as big as Shaq, and honestly he's not even the same vertical athlete as Dwight.
But he has elite hands, and nice touch around the rim. What I like about him the most his right now his moves are designed to get easy close to the basket shots.
Like Rasheed would of this whole post routine, where he would do this 180 fade from the base line. It took like 15 seconds to execute, and he probably only ever shot like 40 percent on it. Very pretty when he made it but, not very efficient.
Shaq at that age had 3 inches and 50 pounds on Duren. Shaq played much more with his back to the basket, simply overpowering his opponents 1 on 1. Duren on the other hand mostly scores of rolling to the basket. I really don't see much resemblence. I think Blake Griffin is a much closer comparison.
cool video. keep going
Duren does remind me of Shaq out there with a better free throw.
Its not Batman and Robin its Superman and Batman.
My Duren comp is Robert Parish, only faster and not as mean
Cade will more than likely be back for the playoffs.
But I’m still happy with the way the team has stepped up since Cades absence. And Duren still just 22 is only gonna get better!
He looks alot more like Amare Stoudemire with his ability get to the basket
cade and duren= Captain America and Hulk
I've been saying this all year, and I've watched every Pistons game for the past 2 seasons (I've been a Pistons fan since I was 4, and got really excited when we cleaned house after the Monty debacle).
He isn't quite the same player Shaq was, but it's strikingly similar, especially considering how the game is played today. You can really see it when he's in the restricted area with the ball; no one can stop him. He's the most physical specimen we have in the league, and the strongest player. (save for when Steven adams gets back, and even that's more of a toss up than anything else, and durens ten years younger.)
I don't think he's quite a baby Shaq type, but he's definitely skilled, athletic, and strong enough to dominate at his position for the rest of his career, barring injuries obv.
I freaking love this kid. He's so fun to watch.
Duren and Giannis are the only bigs that can threaten Wemby's play style
Someone start a petition for him to grow out a Ben Wallace fro!
