The NBA Eastern Conference is Actually STACKED

With one week to go in the regular season, there is still A LOT to play for in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Positioning in the lower tier of the conference is TIGHT, and there are multiple teams in the lower half of the bracket that can make things VERY interesting this postseason…

  1. I'm sure there's talent in this league but I'm not watching until they fire Silver and enforce the rules. Bring back the defense

  2. I have no clue how any player oet alone all the starters tank to get a weaker opponent. Im not saying the timerwolves arent. My competitiveness wont allow me to. I couldnt even say it out loud or even have a conversation with a teammate about tanking. I dont want a teammate that thinks about tanking either. Thats just me

  3. If you put the nuggets vs top 4 of the east, the east would lose all of them. Do that for the healthy lakers, do that for the spurs, and then okc.

  4. The Hornets is not as shocking as the recent turnaround by Detroit…worst team in NBA history to the 1 seed. The Hornets had a lot of injury issues and always had a ton of talent. Not that they were a top team, but not as low as they should have been. Lamelo and Bridges are killers.

  5. I wouldn't mind seeing the Hawks vs the Hornets in the ECF that would be very entertaining

  6. Every season, all season, all you hear about is how stacked the west is and how weak the east is. But by the end of the season you see that all those great western conference teams are actually trash and there’s just as many competitive teams in the east.

  7. Boston is a 60 win Plus team the only reason they won't have this record is because tatum missed 65 games

  8. The knicks will not fend off the Cav’s. Have you looked at the schedules? The Cav’s will probably finish a couple games ahead of the knicks. šŸ˜‚

  9. Awww, thanks Skap!
Prognostically comprehensive preview of Eastern Conference, you've made a subscriber out of me!

  10. No it’s not… the 1st round of the Leastern conference playoffs is heinous @ss every single year. When will the NBA media lear no one fallin for that propaganda.

  11. Great recap, as usual. It is truly amazing what The Hornets have done and it would be amazing to see them or the Knicks in the Finals. The underdog story is so much better than seeing OKC take it again, although they would be deserving champions.

  12. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ Atlanta doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of making it out of the second round.

The hornets ceiling is the conference finals.

The only true dark horse is the sixers, with it all really depending on embiids health/ability to play at a high level throughout the playoffs.

  13. I just did some digging…the Hornets will likely not get he 6th seed. They would have to win their last 3 games which are very tough and ALSO the Raptors and the 76ers have the tie break on them, so they would both have to lose 2 of their last 4 games. All of this would have to happen for the Hornets to get the 6th seed. I am rooting for them though as they are so fun to watch! …but the 1 and 2 seed will be VERY difficult to pass for them.

  14. If the East is ā€œstackedā€ while the West is also stacked, just admit that LeBron’s competition is greater than Jordan’s, Kobe’s, etc…. ā˜•ļø

  15. Great video as usual, Skap! What’s the Card you have on the shelf in the back next to the purple basketball?

  16. charles lee (hornets head coach) was an assistant coach for joe mazulla back when they won a championship in '24. i think the dude followed the celtics blueprint that's why they're exceeding expectations this early in his tenure with the team.

  17. Normally the 4-5 matchup is out of the way on the national schedule. But if it's the Lakers, we'll all be stuck with it, prime time every game

  18. Always happy to see Brother Skap show my Hornets some respect. The three headed snake of Ball, Miller, and King Kon really make this old head happy.

I’m also happy to see JK thriving in Atlanta.

  19. I hope the east would bounce back in terms of superstars production so East vs West would return in the All Star games in the future.

  20. Hornets haven't made it past the 2nd round in their 35 year franchise history. Honestly with how well they've played as of late, this could be the year they do it.

  21. Skap you got me all excited that you finally did a video on the Eastern Conference. Here I am, scrolling through the comments (while letting the video play) to enjoy solidarity with others interested in the EC. Then I scroll back up to the video thinking I'll see some footage of games with the Pistons, Hornets, Hawks, etc. But what do I see at the 3:48 mark? Of course, none other than the fraud king himself. Thanks a lot, Skap.🤣
