If part of this process includes foisting Donovan on whoever they hire, these changes are all pointless.
If they still don't understand that they need to clear house and let the new guy decide what to do with each and every coach including Donovan, I've lost 100% of the little excitement yesterday's news brought.
When Jordan distanced himself from the Bulls, we should’ve all followed him. The team doesn’t deserve the loyalty fans give them.

Michael Reinsdorf: “If we're interviewing someone and they're not sold on Billy, a Hall of Fame coach and person who has won championships in college and gone deep in the playoffs in OKC and, given the teams he was given, achieved good results in Chicago, then they're not right candidate for us”

This rebuild is doomed before it even started. Good luck hiring anybody worth their salt that can’t make their own decision on something as simple as who’s coaching the team.

Clear the whole house and roster
Whether they want to tank or not is irrelevant, it's literally the only option available to them next year.
They aren't a free agency destination and are bad at making trades, so they're not doing anything good with the $60 M+ in cap space.
They also don't have enough good players to even be in the play in.
This only leaves building through the draft as a viable option.
Again, they are bad at making trades, so they need to maximize the value of their own draft picks by tanking.
And I'm sooo sick of fans intentionally misunderstanding what tanking means.
It objectively does not mean players and coaches are intentionally trying to lose games while on the court.
It only means allowing your young, developing players to play through their mistakes without fear of being benched.
It means playing guys like Dillingham 30 mpg over guys like Sexton.
It's such a simple concept, I have to assume people are being stupid on purpose so they can pretend to not understand what tanking means.
Hey they have been living off of 6 Championships when they only have 5 or 6 k per night maybe they will get their act going but with every set with an ass in it that is money

I'm not in favor of ownership keeping Billy in anyway way shape Or form. I hope he decides to part ways with the Bulls after the season is over
He’s very naive and susceptible to being manipulated by individuals in his inner circle. Reinsdorf has no process or plan for team development in the future.

It's actually way worse that they're perennially bad on accident than it would be if they were bad on purpose. They're literally bad at being bad at basketball.

Michael Reinsdorf is an NBA Governor and serves on the NBA Media Committee and the NBA Planning Committee. He should never verbalize the term “tanking”. If he were more sophisticated with the media, he could say it without articulating the words.
This organization doesn’t want to win, how can you hire a new head of operations but pigeon hold them to a coach that the previous regime you just fired hired. The person he hires has to want Billy as a coach & if he don’t want him as a coach you’re not the right guy for the job. Just idiotic
