Hard to call having to get past Wolves, Spurs, and Thunder being in "a great position." But at least they're in the hunt. Oh wait–if they make it through that gauntlet, then there's the small matter of duking it out with the Pistons or whoever. Doesn't quite sound like a joy ride…but, hey, we were irrelevant most of my life so I'll take it!

Steven A would love him, he would be in a high market team, lots of celebrities follow NYK, lots of exposure, Brunson can do what Jamal is doing, OG and Josh Hart with Bridges are a good core, and great defenders, and the most important East is too weak as a conference, so you will have best record. If you think about it, CAT for Jokic, its easy to realize that he is the MVP.
It should not be team standing or exposure, or any other bs… simply the value that player brings to the team. So the most valuable this year should be between Wemby, Jokic and Luka if he qualifies.

A player like Jokić is playing a season for history, he has convincingly better statistics than he had when he won the MVP title, and the NBA wants to announce the MVP of a player who is under the protection of the referees, which this competition has never seen! Apart from that, SGA, as an unpunished non-series flopper, performs in an extremely dirty team. SGA looks towards the referees and immediately gets free throws. If they beat him for just one half, at least as much as they do to Jokić with impunity, SGA would say goodbye to his career by the end of the match.
