Who cares? Unless the report is he was traded here, it doesn’t matter if we were “close”. Probably shouldn’t even believe every report and article anyway. Probably just Shams trying to double down cause he was obviously wrong about Giannis being on the move. Giannis isn’t coming here. A star isn’t coming here. Develop the young guys. Build through the draft like everyone else.
Even with secondary deals in place, there was no guarantee teams were going to wait. for Miami and Bucks Teams had already waited long enough and ultimately wanted to move pieces before the deadline and move forward

Listen, I am a heat fan, a big big heat fan. I love my Miami Heat, but I think they need to get off of their high horses, and what I mean by that is they didn't want Kyrie Irving who is The Game Changer in a great player did anyone James Harden who's also a game changer they don't want Ja Morant who is also a game changer and I think all of those players could have made a difference even if it's just a lateral move and you think you got some of the same stuff on your squad already but when it came down to those people who you said it's a lateral move they make big shots did they make big plays sometimes it's just a key player keep this player that you pick up is all of the difference in the world
Also have you remember when we made that big run with the young fellas and then the older players came back and he changed it up I believe you should have kept running with the young fellas and road it until the Wells Fall off and then made the change
