You got traded b/c you get hurt entirely too often. I'm a die-hard Laker fan. We love your ability, but Bro! You are not available enough for the price it costs the team. Luka is another generational player just like yourself, but there are levels to this and Luka is possibly a top 20 All-Time talent. We wish you the best!
AD did the Pelicans dirty back in 2019 & the Lakers did him dirty a few years later, so just chalk it up as karma 🤷🏾♂️
& when it comes to how the Lakers went about trading him, I don’t feel bad for him at all. I’m sure I probably would’ve felt the same as AD if I were in his shoes, but if I was in Rob Pelinka’s shoes, I would’ve did the SAME THING – For 2 reasons:
1.) They seen how AD went about handling things back when he was trying to get traded from the Pelicans & they’ve seen how his agent Rich Paul goes about handling things on numerous occasions – which benefits the player, not the team – so telling Rich Paul or AD about their plans to trade him wouldn’t have worked in their favor like it did.
2.) AD, aka “Street Clothes”, sustained MULTIPLE “soft tissue” injuries EVERY YEAR with the Lakers – with the Mavericks too, which is why they didn’t waste much time shipping him outta there to the Wizards… now he’s out for the season 🤦🏾♂️ – & those injuries caused him to miss SEVERAL games.
Most of his “soft tissue” injuries are STRAINS, which usually comes from not being in “good enough” shape & that’s just not acceptable, especially for a franchise like the Lakers.
Even KG had to call him out after he said that he hadn’t picked up a basketball all offseason & for not coming into the season in TOP SHAPE, so I’m sure the Lakers looked at that as well. They paid him like a Superstar, but he can’t stay on the court all because he’s sustaining injuries that stems from not putting in the work in the work in the offseason to come into the season in TOP SHAPE like they’re paying him to do, I would’ve shipped his ass away without telling him too. We’re the LAKERS, Home of 5 of the Top-10 players in NBA History (Wilt, Kareem, Magic, Shaq, & Kobe) & the Home of the “2nd-Most NBA Championships” in NBA History, so GTFOH & take that LAZY sh*t with you to the Wizards

I’ll never understand how play a sports themselves out of the city let the fans down cause they no longer have their franchise guy, but they want a tribute video we still grieving. 1. He requested a trade with a year and a half left on his contract.
2. He was already playing like he was checked out.
3. He worn the that’s all folks t shirt the final game of the season.
4. After he was traded, he said he was gonna give a thank you tribute to the fans and didn’t.
As someone who was a diehard Pels fan because of AD & Jrue, this was the insight and information I’ve been waiting to hear from AD himself for 8 years now so thank you so much Draymond. Bro has never spoken more than 2 sentences about it all, only fragments. This is the most he’s opened up about it. I miss that 2017-18 Pels squad who swept the Blazers that year when nobody saw it coming. Most dialed in I’ve ever been for an entire playoff series of my life 😭.
