I believe bos did exactly wut thy wanted to do, as far as the salary cap goes. Iām taking a player of Vucās caliber/ position over Simmons. I dnt believe he wouldāve played much.

Figured you would pull that JB thing again. You replace JB with JT this season and they do not go as far.
Most people would have Jokic as the better player over SGA but if you swap Jokic in for SGA that team doesnāt do as well. SGA is the leader of that team on and off the court. This was no longer JTs team the moment KP and Jrue were traded then Horford and Kornet left.
If we go for Giannis the only logical move is trading D. White with others to make the numbers work. JB is like the Marcus Smart, Draymond Green, Bron and Murray of the team. Heās the heart, the dominant instigator, the most experienced and the only other solid option outside of JT. He fills too many roles.
You donāt trade JT because you only add points in size and crashing and lose on everything else. The only logical move is trade D. White. You lose 3pt shooting and some backcourt defense but you gain defense elsewhere, size and another crasher.
Personally, I would not trade for Giannis at all.
Honestly brad is gonna keep building this thing out with youth thatās what I think. Heāll make moves here and there but heās a genius and I donāt think he wants 3 max guys and weāre not trading jb or jt that much is clear at this point

100% the Bucks will trade him because comes October this year, he is able to sign super max contract extension for $275m/4 years. No way they are going to pay him that much money while the team is not making playoffs.

Giannis isnāt happening. Also he is past his prime and has been injured at the worst possible time for 4 years now. Not sure how anyone thinks with his playstyle that he will suddenly be healthy for a season and be as good as he was 3-4 years ago at his peak. Brad is smarter than this
Bradās a smart guy, no WAY would he trade players and picks. It aināt broke, no need to fix it.
No interest at all. Antetkounmpo is
a) a walking calf injury until his mobility or his Achilles are gone,
b) a team exploder–the Bucks have been increasingly awful since 2022 because they keep trying to make him happy,
c) a walking giant scandal with the Kalshi stuff, which is a story that has not yet flared up like it is going to,
d) will want his brothers either to take up spots or to constantly be around him instead of him integrating with the team,
e) does not fit our style at all
f) has never changed beyond the one thing he does, which is to barrel toward the basket or kick out to 4 people who aren't moving because they are just targets for his passes, and at his age there will start to be more misses and FT trips (where he goes 1 for 2 all the time) than layups.
g) is petty and pouty on the court. Taunting, getting freakishly upset over the game ball, staring down Haliburton's father, faking a hand-up to Brown. We happen to have likable players right now whose trash talk (Pritchard's and Scheierman's) is more adorable than offputting.
h) We are a top 5 team with lots of upside. Why are we trading our core for virtually anyone, especially if the tax and aprons are important to us? Also, we're either trading a star or several depth pieces when this current team is working quite well at almost everything.
i) Who knows what happens to the NBA with the economic collapse coming and the Middle East on fire? The last thing we want is to be saddled with a giant contract that nobody will take when Giannis turns 34 and is in decline and has 3 years left.
It's not that there are no upsides to having a top 40 all-time player joining in his prime. But he'll be too expensive, too much baggage, too much effort to adapt to him, too mercurial, and we don't need him regardless. Let the Sixers have him.

Giannis is NOT better than JB anymore. That gap has been closed. JB is a better 3 point shooter & better mid range shooter better off the dribble with his improved handle. JB will defend the best player, Giannis will not. JB is always available to play especially in the playoffs. Local media needs to stop with this stupid shit. After the year JB had to still talk about trading him is DISRESPECTFUL.
