The Spurs without Wemby are still a better team than the Blazers and shows what were in for if we win the play in. Not to pick on him as Scoot played hard but missed simple layups. Lots of TO by Deni as well. DC should have been more dominant. So many other reasons Blazers just aren't as good as the Spurs. Bring on the Clippers.
Recently I started watching the Blazers because of Scoot Henderson
In my opinion, the Blazers have huge potential in their starting lineup. Players like Toumani Camara, Deni Avdija, and Donovan Clingan form a very promising core. When Scoot can consistently knock down his threes or mid-range shots—like he showed in the second half against the Spurs—they become even more dangerous.
However, the bench is a big problem. They can play defense, but they struggle badly to score. Guys like Kris Murray and Sidy Cissoko aren’t reliable shooters, which is why Deni and Jrue Holiday sometimes hesitate to pass to them—even when they’re wide open—because there’s a real chance it ends in a miss.
Overall, I think the starting lineup is solid on both ends of the floor, with good defense and offense. But the bench definitely needs improvement. They should bring in more 3-and-D players—guys who can space the floor and consistently hit shots.
Personally, I also hope the team stays patient with Scoot. Even if he shoots around 36% like tonight, he can still be an X-factor against strong teams. He usually plays around 20 minutes, brings strong defense, and when he gets hot, he definitely has the ability to be a starter.
This game showed why Grant and Sharp are needed. Offense was sagging. When Deni gets sloppy and Drew isn’t bombing threes, another solid go-to scoring option is a must.
Wr all enjoy your lunacy! Keeping us informed.
This is where a better coach has value. Even with Sharpe and Grant out this still was absolutely still a winnable game. The Blazers not really haging an actual offense hurts. Also…the play of Carter Bryant made the pick of Yang Hansen look even stupder than it was.
A Game like this shows that the front office is really blind from picking good 3andD players for this team. Carter Bryant had a huge night and will already be a good playoff piece for them. This team when our stars struggle has no pick me up
If Sharpe can play, do you play him Friday or Sunday? I doubt we are going to shoot the 3 as good as we did when we played the Clips in LA, so we are going to need more scoring. Not sure if Grant is close. Go Blazers.
Let’s win on Friday🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Being a blazer fan gotta be the same feeling as being a raiders fan
So what I’m hearing is Spurs played Spurs basketball. That has always been Spurs culture for pretty much my entire life.
