Awesome breakdown. My feelings exactly. As far as the first pick… we don't have a great chance. A 14% chance is just a little bit better than a 1:10 chance but we will get a great player…. Go DC !
I would love to see AD in DC for a while. First things first though there are young players on this team competing and leveling up. Next season the Wizards sort it out and that will include a possible star in the draft. Who else is coming in the form of veterans? I think no one. Will these guys ball out next season? We hope so. If the Wizards and AD work out an afforabel deal then maybe 3 years from now the Wizards win their next NBA Championship some 50 years later. I think that wil be a great experience even if by then AD is winding down his NBA career.
To be honest, I think he is more excited than he is letting on. Much like us Wizards fans, he can't really hype it up like he wants until next season. It's gonna come down to his realationship with Trae, the first round pick and who we draft and who we hire as a coach for next season. We locked up a top 5 pick. We are going to be good next year and he probably won't find a better roster elswhere.
