The NBA is broken because Adam Silver keeps effing with the product. East vs West should be the AS game standard. No more 8 minute tournaments with 6 different subsections of groups. No more mid season tournaments. Get rid of the lottery draft. Make it based on record. But, here's the caveat, you can't have a top 10 pick, no more than 2 times in a 5 year stretch, regardless of your record.
Imagine making this mistake in a playoff game 7. The fact that he is an NBA coach and can make such egregious mistakes that it costs his team the game then he should just be fired anyway. He would be better off just saying he was tanking.
Lets just relegate like soccer. The worst 2 team in both confrences gets sent to the g league, the 4 best g league teams get brought up. Best draft pick then starts at the 3rd worst. It would still be possible to tank but it would be way harder, the bottom 2 teams would be playing for their life and the 3rd and 4th wouldnt want to lose to much, fall to last or second to last and get relegated. The fact that a super star could become a g league player would be hilarious and would make them play ridiculously hard
