The Charlotte Bobcats sucked #nba #charlottehornets

In the 2004 expansion draft, the Charlotte Bobcats proved that building a team isn’t just about picking the best players, but about strategic asset accumulation. Instead of hunting for immediate wins, the Bobcats took on “bad” contracts from teams like the Clippers and Suns in exchange for high draft picks. This “favor-for-picks” strategy allowed them to secure cornerstone players like Emeka Okafor and additional first-round assets, even if it meant enduring a brutal 18-64 debut season.

Interesting strategy!
God, those teams where horrible though. Either it was bad luck or bad drafting they could never put together a good team.
Why did Stern allow this to happen to an expansion team? And why didn't Stern allow CP3 to go to the Lakers?
