You can always tell Perk doesn't watch games because 24ppg Wemby is very clearly "guardable" by a team good enough to be in the playoffs. Dude is 7'6" shooting 50% from the field. It ain't all chuckin up 3s.
There's only one Wemby Stopper and man is called: ARON GORDON. He stronger, faster and more atheltic… wemby is just taller.
Wemby is destined to get injured from nothing plays. He is just tooooo lanky/tall. His joints can't handle it in part because there isn't enough MUSCLE attached to said joints.

24 points a game, hurts himself if he plays in the paint, plays less minutes than Kawhi when Kawhi was supposedly killing the NBA via load management, averages 29, 30, and 30 minutes per game across three NBA seasons. It's disgusting how the disingenuous the media is about Wemby. 24 points a game? These are like LeBron in year 21 numbers. I understand his defensive impact, I understand how great he is as an overall player but words mean things. "Unguardable" isn't a 24 point per game scorer that isn't even a big distributor like Jokic or other high volume scorers AND passers.

I love the frankness and confidence of Perk, and I love that he has my Spurs winning it all. This may be crazy for a 30+ year Spurs fan such as myself to say, but didn’t Aaron Gordon prove that Wemby is guardable? Is the assumption that they will look at tape and figure out how Wemby can be avoid being shut down in isos by Gordon’t defense? Cause if they meet in a series, I’m sure Denver will keep throwing Gordon at Wemby in isolation.
I would LOVE for the Spurs to win it all this year, but I will be v happy if Wemby comes back and wins DPOY, and KJ gets 6th Man and Coach Mitch gets COtY, and then they make it to the second round. That will be a successful season (unless they lose to someone who is not the Nuggets in the 2nd round).

Jokic has been effective vs……GOBERT…..AD…..and yes BAMYAMA…….why!!?? Because LENGTH does not bother Jokic.

I've yet to see a big man use physicality against Wemby. You have to push him out the lane and lean on him. He's so tall, that if he's anywhere close to the basket, it's a dunk.
