  1. There's just no way we can get through the Wolves, Spurs and Thunder, plus a finals series. We have to be realistic. AG will get hurt for sure. Maybe next season we can start playing when the season begins instead of losing a ton of winnable games and putting ourselves in an impossible situation come playoff time.

  2. Listen guys, I don't care who we play in the first round, as long as it allows us to play OKC in the second round. That would be the sweetest revenge for last year's playoffs and if we pass through OKC, there's a huge chance we'll win the championship, if not – at least the players will have enough time to recover from injuries. I think, OKC have gifted us todays win, because it's in their interest for us to finish the season in 3rd place. Thereby, OKC would face the winner of Nuggets vs Spurs matchup, and kill two birds with one stone. Conversely, if we finish in 4th place, OKC would have to face first us and if they pass, Spurs would probably be the next opponent and there's a high chance they won't pass them, given their record in regular season against the Spurs… Given all said, I prefer us to finish in 4th place.

  3. I mean, it is not just that OKC does not want Denver in a second round, it is about sending the Denver to SA to potentially remove the team that was giving them the most problems this season.

  4. What’s the problem with finishing 4th? I’d rather play Rockets than Wolves. And if you want to win the title you have to beat OKC and Spurs anyway. oKC is the hardest of the two, and the Nuggets will need all of their freshness to beat them. So meeting them already in the second round after also a potentially bit less exhausting clash with Rockets would not be such a bad thing.

  5. The Oklahoma City Thunder are trying to avoid the Denver Nuggets in the second round, while also hoping the Nuggets take care of their issues with the San Antonio Spurs.

The Minnesota Timberwolves might be the toughest opponent outside of OKC and the Spurs. But if they can’t beat them, they don’t deserve to be champions.
