Denver has more chance to beat OKC in the 2nd round than in the West finals.
One of the benefits of possibly facing Nuggets in the 2nd round is "iron sharpens iron", seem playing the Nuggets last year made the Thunder a better team, if the Spurs play Nuggets in the 2nd round probably make them a sharper team if they can beat them.
I’ll probably be that denver doesn’t play their guys, and if they win so be it, if they lose so be it, and honestly, if they beat us in the 2nd round, we dont deserve the chip either way
Another angle might be the Lakers. Do they want to try and beat the jazz to play Minny without Luka and or Reaves out at the beginning of at all? Do they risk LeBron in the last game in order to play the wolves round 1.
Nikola Topic is an elite offensive generator. He could of had 17 assist tonight. I believe he starts next season. He's that good! Imagine the Thunder putting up a lineup of SGA/NT/JDUB/Mitchell and Chet. Not even the Thunder could stop that.
We matchup really well with the Nuggets this year. They are less athletic compared to last year. Westbrook was a pain off the bench.
Den lost two games because in one Cam missed last shot in other SGA scored last shot both games could end as Den wins and Den messed more players and Mom was fresh from injury, Den just need to be healthy with PWat and Spence back and they will dominate playoffs because unlike all previous seasons where they could choose between 7-8 guys now they have 10-12 and that's huge difference
⚡
Topic is tremendously talented. He could easily be a starter for many teams and average 15 points and 10 assists. I hope to see him get some run in the playoffs. Karlson also.
Denver fan here, and yeah, I hate Lou Dort for his dirty foulin, but I like this pod, and OKC. You guys have a healthy respect for Denver, and Denver fans, along with the rest of the league, knows who OKC is, best front office in the league obviously. From a Denver perspective, the Wolves arent quite the juggernaut we lost to so painfully a couple of years ago, and the Nuggets are better, but every Nuggets fan still has Wolves trauma. I think our team in confident enough that we're feeling ourselves moving past the 1st whoever comes up. To have to go through both Spurs and Thunder is crazy, but I would rather see the Spurs in 2nd round because Wemby is still young, the team is untested and inexperienced in the play-offs, and I prefer the Spurs match-up. A fully healthy Nuggets squad vs a fully healthy Thunder will be a dog fight, a historic WCF, and I think that's where we're heading. Respect to your pod and your team, except for Lou Dort, whom Denver fans bitch slap for good measure. Fucking Dort…
Have bo nixx @ #3 to have last Sunday a sneak peak a round 2
Rare moment where OKC and Denver fans are equally happy after a game
It’s a fucking cocky ass move by the thunder.
There's a lot of denver fans in here. LOL.
But I'm proud of my OKC squad. They did really well tonight.
Carlson was terrific! But I always believed in him. We're this close to unlocking his greatness.
I already know topc is going to be lethal in the future. I see it. Once he gets his turnovers together, he's going to an elite ball handler.
Jmac did well. I wonder what his ex 76ers teammates think about Jmac starting on the reigning champs team near the playoffs. He definitely wouldn't have gotten that chance with them. Hell, if Jmac was still there, they'll only be in the playins right now.
But it's crazy Jmac is about to get his first ring while only being with us a few months.
GO THUNDER!!!!
⚡️
I am a huge Topic fan but let's slow down with the "Shines". 8 turnovers isn't exactly shining…
After watching Sorber shoot around two months ago, and now recently he looks so different. And he is still just turned 20.
denver fans genuinely might be sped
You need to win all to be a champion. Losing in 2nd round or conference final is the same.
Appreciate the discussion. Lurking Nuggets fan here. You guys unfortunately missed what is a more prevailing thought from a Nuggets perspective. The Thunder can’t be beaten by any team other than the Spurs, and that can only happen in the conference finals. The Spurs however have a more than zero % chance of getting got in the 2nd round by, say the Wolves. If the Nugs get the 3 seed, they’re guaranteeing themselves a path where they have to beat both OKC and SA. If they get 4, they potentially may only have to beat OKC in the 2nd round where they have a better chance of being healthier and fresher.
Stylin Rylin with another banger
The 8 TO were awful. It's 8 shots you never got to take. 11 assists were washed away by 8 TOs. He's young. But if you are running an offense you can't have 8 TOs unless you get 20+ assists.
Surprised they won, Nuggets are a grate team please continue to take them lightly 😅😅😅
We’re getting Denver or Houston in the second round. Better get used to it.
