Resigning Zack to a Max deal without forcing him to shop his services with other teams first. That's the dumbest move. Pat Williams is top 3 F up though for sure.
New GM will already be handcuffed by the parasite reinsdorf families desire to retain Billy bubblegum. Who would want to work for an ownership that has paid the luxury tax ONE TIME.
I'm not convinced the Bulls would ever make the obvious hire (Bob Meyers) regardless of their decision with Bill Donovan, but if they do insist on Donovan staying, you don't even give yourself the chance. The Bears learned from this mistake, finally, after decades of stupidity. I have no confidence in this organization until proven otherwise.

Stop giving Billy a pass. Too many of Billy's players radically improved after leaving the Bulls – see Laurie Markkanan, Derrick Jones, Daniel Gafford, etc. And Patrick Williams is completely shot after being serviceable player a few years ago.
How much longer can these same guys complain about AkMe. Have they not heard the news? How about moving on and explain one thing, anything positive Billy D has done to garner so much respect from a Bulls coach perspective. I’d argue Peter Patton, the fired shooting coach was the only positive since Thibs was let go. Billy has been average at best and wouldn’t count on him teaching anything intelligent to the young roster. He’s most certainly not Ben Johnson and I’m hoping he doesn’t become an interim GM. Owners need to stop being so cheap and flush their coaching staff with management and start over. All this being said, I don’t know who to replace them, but Mike Malone may have been a good starting place.

Agree with all this, except for the Giddey take. He’s a great piece for the organisation and even though they “bid against themselves “ he’s still worth the money
AK threaded the needle well here, keeping 9, and hopefully 17 or whatever. We are tee'd up well for a good off-season.

The Bulls can hire the next Phil Jackson, but they'll NEVER be anything unless Jerry Reinsdorf sells the team and his family goes with him. I suffered with the franchise from the outset in 1967 with has-been-never-was Johnny Red Kerr. A quarter century later Michael showed up. Since Michael's group was inexplicably dumped, the Bulls have been predictably disgusting. Here's the issue: if Jerry makes money, Jerry doesn't care about having winning product on the court because he judges winning the way Trump does: it's solely about money. The only thing for us to do is quit watching the Bulls on TV and quit going to games. I have. Fan boycotts are not new, but they should be more common than they are. Jerry will sell if the revenue drops and only that or death will end his evil chokehold on Chicago basketball fans.
Mike Reinsdorf is the quintessential nepo baby failson. He has never held a job not handed to him by his father.
Get rid of Patrick Williams next and the circle will be complete. Get rid of Billy too soon.
Bulls are in purgatory. Not good enough to win, not bad enough to tank.
Billy is also far removed from the college life he doesn’t know the NIL world of college . Malone is younger and a good coach plus his daughter is on the NC Volleyball team .

Your best bet as a Bulls fan is to stop watching and ignore them. Billy Donovan is trash and we’re going to act like he’s not because they fired AK? Horrible team. They make the worst decisions. The owner does not care as long as he makes money. I’m checked out.
I was relieved to find out that they finally let go of president of operation and the GM. Those two were ruining the franchise letting go of Jared was really bad move. Also, they need to move on from Donovan and get out of the Gitty contract and Williams contract. Lastly, draft a lot of homegrown talent in the states you’ll have a fan base coming back to watch games

The Lonzo Ball take was dumb AF. They literally had no choice but to wait him out. What team was going to trade for a currently injured player making $20 million a year, and a history of knee injuries??? WTF were they supposed to do? The smartest thing they could've done they did. They signed him to a favorable AND MOVABLE contract, showed he was currently healthy, and then traded him for an asset they could actually use in Okoro, who was also on a reasonable deal.
This is why you have to be careful with who you get your information from.
