As a Pistons fan, I know JB deserves it just like Cade deserves to be 1st Team All-NBA, but I also wouldn't mind my team coming back next year no matter what happens in the playoffs with a chip on their shoulders, lol.
JB deserves coach of the year without a doubt !

Coach of the year is always arbitrarily tied to a teams record, particularly reletive to whatever their record was the season prior. However, JB deserves coach of the year because he is a legitamite coach. You can tell he really leads his players and gets on their ass when they're not locked in or executing properly. He definitely feels like the kind of coach who works best with young and impressionable players (which is likely why he's been so effective with the Pistons), but he's not a glorified figure head. He actually reminds me of Tom Izzo a bit in his general presence and coaching style.

Pistons still have a shot at 60 wins and would be the first team to go from under 20 wins to 60 wins in 2 years with no major moves.
JB got robbed last year smh he should definitely win this year
JB definitely deserves it but to be honest I no longer care about nba award anymore so I wouldn’t be surprised if they snub him and say some crazy stuff like the team didn’t shoot good enough or they move the goal post and say the his team has too many fouls and techs to be coach of the year
