To all the people that say Jason glazes LeBron and the Lakers, I hope you stop. Despite him being a genuine fan of LeBron, he is always putting out what he believes to be the analysis that aligns most with truth
1:45 I asked this on Lakers Collective but nobody else did and they didn't specify. They keep throwing out that the Rockets have this massive talent edge but I don't get what or who they are talking about over there. I'll give you Amen as a talent sure. Maybe just maybe Sengun? Though I wouldn't make a bold claim about him being some super talent. But other than that… WHO TF THE ROCKETS GOT???!!! 😂 We keep throwing out these vague terms and generic phrases without specifying with explanation. The Lakers have Smart, Rui, Kennard & Ayton that are all just as good if not better than EVERYBODY on the Rockets other than Amen. Obviously Bron and KD goes without saying. But SERIOUSLY I don't know if Jason or any of the Lakers Collective guys actually check their comments. But I want somebody to tell me WHERE IS THE TALENT GAP? Lakers are more athletic without Reaves and Luka. JJ has to play 10 or 11 guys in the series speed the Rockets up and take advantage of their lack of a point guard. Create as much chaos as possible

If 41 y/o LeBron manages to make this series competitive or even win this series, I think this would be the most impressive carry job ever done by a basketball player. Even more impressive than carry jobs that had reached the finals or gone significantly further.
The Lakers's team is literally 41 year-old LeBron who hasn't had a good shooting season, 2-4 kind of quality role players, and end of the bench 2-way guys. And JJ Redick who's been a pretty good coach overall but is still only a second-year head coach at any level and wasn't a good playoffs coach last year.
All while they didn't even have a handful of games to try to figure things out before heading into the postseason. The team was already not deep to begin with, worst bench in the league, and they lost 2 of their best players and starters.
If role players play hard defense…keep the score low..keep Houston off the boards .. keep score between 5-7 PTS..

It's unfortunate cause healthy Lakers vs rockets and I would have had Lakers in 4 or 5. But yeah without Luka and Reaves it's gonna be very tough to see LA Winning. I will note i do think Luka will be back at some point during this series and if it's a competitive series he comes back to I would still have Lakers winning then in 6 or 7. Without Luka and AR then probably Houston in 6. I think Lebron and the others will be competitive enough to take a game or 2 especially with how bad Houstons half court offense is. If Lakers wanna win tho it basically comes down to can Luka come back.

Houston has multiple ways to beat the lakers. In transition, the rebound battle. There’s only 2 things they can bank on. They have PG play and they have the best player/leader on the floor. Houston just needs to take the life out of the team from the gate and they can run away and take it in 4 or 5, but they need to put the nail in the coffin quick because each game that passes, the lakers will be at a greater advantage.
Jason – you mostly get predictions correct. The only one i can remember that was a bit off was lakers vs okc luka injury. I thought if competitive then game on. But it wasnt…. if u think rockets in 5 then i bet youre right. Kennard nick smith and rui need to be 60% from 3 and bronny at point guard (he was good last game) would have to be amazijg to turn this around

Houston will win as long as they pressure LeBron full court, bump him all around the half court, and attack him defensively all night
He will break down in every game by the 2nd half.
He's 40, you don't need to complicate things. Play playoff intensity basketball and make him participate in as many plays as possible.
That's it, and that will win you the series easily.

JJ Gotta play as many guys as possible the first game at least and see who's hungry and want the 💍🏆
I think the Lakers have the edge in coaching and team chemistry. Rockets have the talent to crush Lakers but I think if things start going bad for the Rockets trust might erode and lead to mistakes which can give the Lakers a window to sneak by. Were just competing to see who gets crushed by OKC anyway.
Austin and Luka busts. What good are you if you're never ready? They probably would get rolled by another athletic team anyway…even if they did play
